So initially I was having problems but I resolved those, I CAN CONFIRM that it still works I have a fresh install of all three mods and its working like a charm.
Hello! I recently returned to Skyrim and discover Enai’s mods, they are indeed amazing. I have tried your mod and is very good, doing exactly what it says. However, I have found a minor issue, with another of Enai’s mods: Wintersun. I would love my hybrid character to be a Molag Bal follower. However, whenever I transform into a werewolf, Molag Bal abandons me. I suppose that it’s because one of its tenets is to never cure your vampirism. I realize that this is not a bug, nor a problem with your mod. But I hope that perhaps you can (and want) help me with this. Is there anything you can do?
Thank you for this mod, it works almost seamlessly with only one hiccup. I tried a few different ways of acquiring vampirism and lycanthropy via regular means (Companions, Dawnguard, vanilla Sanguinare Vampiris) and the Potion of Embracing/Werebeast Blood reagents provided by Growl and Sacrilege; What I found is that becoming a vampire first prevents Growl's werewolf racial spell from being applied to the player character.
Ex: Be an Argonian > Become a vampire and get Aquatic Predator > Become a werewolf > Player does not have Rabies.
However, the inverse works 100% fine.
Ex: Be an Argonian > Become a werewolf and get Rabies > Become a Vampire/Vampire Lord > Player has Rabies and Aquatic Predator as intended.
Becoming a werewolf before contracting vampirism grants both mods racial spells as intended. I tried this for all races, the results were all the same. I'm guessing this is due to changes made in Sacrilege 2.0 and the hybrid mod not being updated for it yet. A quick in-game fix can be applied by just adding the race effect you didn't get with console commands. ( Ex: help "Vargr" ... player.addspell xxxD028A) Refer to Growl/Sacrilege's mod page for which spell your race should have. As far as other reported issues like animation bugs or custom race error notifications, I didn't get them. I used LAL to start in Harkon's Court and found no issues with Vampire Lord functionality. Beast Form cooldown works seamlessly in the background while in VL form, I hear the howl, I see the notification at the top left of my screen that it's ready to use, hop out of VL form and in to furry mode without issue. It just works. I tried pretty hard to find issues and break something but this is all I got.
I'm currently using 214 mods, among them are Morningstar - Minimalistic Races of Skyrim, Sacrilege - Customizable Sun Damage, Grimoas Vampire Lord, Simply Bigger Vampire Lord Wings (XP32), Wicked Werewolves (XP32) and retextures for both forms.
TLDR: This mod is great, download it! Until the mod is updated for Sacrilege 2.0 I recommend you become a werewolf before becoming a vampire.
So when you become a vampire, you technically become a different race (i.e. NordRace becomes NordRaceVampire) and Growl assigns those abilities based on race. So if you're already a vampire, you won't get those abilities. I have uploaded an update that changes the list to include the vampire races.
Hey all, I appreciate the mod but I seem to be having an issue. (Admittedly it could be my doing)
I use Live Another Life and in order to test the mod, I've been starting in Harkons court to get access to Vampire Lord right away. However, when the Hybrid mod is running my transformation lags for a pretty solid amount of time(My character is keeled over and frozen) before finally transforming, and the magic mode for Vampire Lord is unusable, as in my spells don't appear in my hand and I cannot use them at all. I can get into melee stance and do stuff well enough, but in magic stance I'm a sitting duck. The Hybrid mod is loaded after everything else relevant, I'm also running the "Bat Vampire Lord" retexture, which I've put above and below it just to see if that would have any difference, no dice.
I wanted to ask if this was just a LAL or texture issue and if it would go away if I got vampirism and lycancthropy normally as opposed to starting out with it.
(I.E, do the companions questline then have Serana turn me to enter the soul cairn like in Dawnguard. My usual progression.)
Thanks in advance, I've been aching for a simple and stable hybrid mod since Oldrim without all the heavyweight fluff.
Sorry for not responding earlier, I did manage to resolve this - thankfully simple.
After acquiring the Vampire Lord transformation either from console or Harkon, you just have to add "Vampire Lord Abilities" via the console command "Player.addspell ID" in human form if suffering from the lagging transformation + no magic and transform. Once you shift back to human form type in "player.removespell ID" to remove the passive buff from your active effects list and you're golden from that point forward! It retains the powers when you shift into a VL.
Edit:I don't know if you have to be in human form specifically to make these commands resolve the issue, but it's what I did.
