THOSE USING THIS MOD KNOW THIS. WHEN USING VORTEX IT WILL TRY TO HAVE OTHER MODS OVERWRITE THIS ONE. DON'T FOLLOW SUGESTIONS OTHERWISE IT WILL STATE THIS MOD IS REDUNDANT WHEN IT ISN'T. OVERWRITE THE OTHERS TO GET THE REAL LOOK OF THIS MOD WHICH IS BETTER THAN.......ETC :-)=
Hi. Can you please do something similar to wood on the second floor of the Lakeview manor? It doesn`t look like it was paid for (gaps and broken pieces) https://ibb.co/rFR74XM https://ibb.co/5B7dXp8
This wood makes no sense, 'real' ? not at all. This wood looks entirely untouched, perfect, clean and laid 5 minutes before taking the shot. The wood would be weathered, even a bit battered, not perfectly one color. The original wood, as it stands, looks way better.
It´s just a tittle. I´m going to put this clear; I made this wood texture for me, because a like it, and because I don´t like the dirty wood of farmhouses . And I uploaded it because i like to share. That said, vanilla wood is real, this wood is real, I mean based on real wood. Some kinds of wood seems more new that others although both are the same old; it depends on the color of the wood. It´s a matter of taste at the end.
In my opinion people of the villager would know how to treat the wood, preserve it from humidity and the weather, so it can be more good looking, and last longer, and when it gets old enough they will replace it the places they can, obviously not a partition wall.
Anyway thanks for the comment, and if you like more older wood there are other mods that do that, and this is the good thing, you can choose.
I wonder how many users of these textures notice that they reflect people and objects on them when light hits them (inside Riverwood Trader, the stone floor does the same thing); and that it requires an expertly crafted enb and enb preset to give them a sense of place.
Textures like these creep into your brain's perception of things that look like graphics and the fact that you can smell sawdust when you're not currently in a barn.
I was disappointed the wood textures don't include the doors to the farmhouses.
*just noticed the tables and chairs have the wood textures too.
Thanks for the comment! The reflectivity of this kind of wood is something that i like too. This is a work in progress, so with time i´m going to add more wood textures, doors included. Now I´m working on Riften. The process is slow, because the time i have and because I have to find the best texture, and sometimes I can´t find it at all, at least for a good resolution.
This mod will replace (overwrite) the same files in SMIM. If you're okay with SMIM textures, then don't overwrite the files (can only be done when using a mod manager like NMM. Vortex will annoy you with a mod conflict and you must choose which mod loads first. Dunno about MO2 as I've never used it) or if you want the new textures from this mod, then overwrite everything. When using NMM, uninstalling this mod will restore the SMIM files automatically.
Good textures! Unfortunately they seem to have a light shine to them, which is not unrealistic for polished wood - however I feel the wood used for platforms, buildings etc wouldn't be.
