Hello everyone! I'm back after a long hiatus, sorry for the wait. This mod's requirements have been updated for the new link to the high poly head. Additionally, my second set of female presets is out now!

Hex's High Poly Female Presets 2

Instructions for loading and troubleshooting these presets if you have trouble getting them to load properly:

In order to load presets in Racemenu, you need to go to the "presets" tab on the top right of the screen, and then press the F9 key (by default). Make sure your character race & gender are set to the race & gender of the chosen preset before loading it, and then select your preset of choice and hit enter to load it.

    Some additional tips:
    - If the face looks deformed after loading, make sure to check that the "face part" slider under the Head tab is set to the high poly head, then load the facegen for the preset (F9, select the preset, enter) under the sculpt tab in the top right corner

    - If the face is a different color from the body after loading the preset or changing to the high poly head, move the weight slider one tick and then back to fix it.

-If the face is blue/purple check the face paint section and set anything there back to "default"

    - If the colors look off even after downloading all of the hard & soft requirements, you may need to adjust them according to your ENB settings or use my ENB settings. The ENB used in the screenshots is listed at the bottom of this mod's description page.

These are amazing!!! Would love to see them as follower mods. In a group would be perfect with ESL flagging. I'm a guy and don't use female presets. Great work. Thank you. :))

So glad you like them! I'm not any good with making followers, but if you can find someone else who wants to make a follower pack from them I'm happy to let them. :)

I recommend to use Lazyfollowers mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/43312

I created a normal PC and converted it successfully to a normal follower. Bonus is that you have tons of possibilities for your own follower that you not easily will have with premade ones (including use of custom races).

Thank you. I have tried that several times. It works initially but after a few teleports to different towns, they turn gormless ugly. I have to keep applying the preset. It just doesn't stick for some reason. So that is nearly 2 years of trying since your helpful post. :(

Description -> scroll to requirements -> expand it -> off-site requirements -> High Poly Head, download it from the offsite location and use your mod installer to manually install it

I really like these. however the one I want to use, (Lylie) the head turns kind of blue-ish. any idea why? the others don't give me this issue.
To elaborate, its also the only one with a neck seam issue. Is there a mod you used only for lylie perhaps? I added all the soft requirements just to see, but that didn't help.

Well, if anyone cares... I fixed it by messing with the "face paint."

Humm, is your issue where about halfway up the neck the coloration from that point on is blue-ish?  I've discovered that too the Valilae altmer preset.  I'll try tinkering in the facepaint like you did, so here's hoping that I can fix it too.

Edit: It worked.  For everyone else go to the facepaint section of racemenu then change each option to 'Default' and it''' fix it.  If you want to use makeup/tatoos/freckes etc go ahead and switch to one that works with your face after you've fixed it.

Hmm, Pocky's 4k human female makeup? , has been hidden so I hope not having it doesn't cause too many issues with the presets.

How did you get the almond eyes on Laelyn to come out so well? For some reason, the eyes my version has are still squinty and entirely the wrong shape. Which of the soft requirements influences the outcome?

Could you share a screenshot so I can see what you mean? It might help me identify the issue.

This is what I'm talking about. The rest is pretty good. The mouth is weird, I don't know what happened there. But I can live with it if I can't change it. But the eyes didn't change at all.

Under the "Head" tab in racemenu, make sure the face part slider is set to the high poly head, and then load the  DU Laelyn.nif face data on top of it in the Sculpt menu (F9 by default). That should fix the issue with both the eyes and mouth. :)

Odd. I set that up as you say, and the head doesn't change. I checked the head type it loads, and then checked the other presets to see if maybe it had been altered. All of the presets seem to be configured to use the skyrim defaults instead of the high poly head, as shown here. Whenever I reselect the high poly head and go to the presets, it just puts it back to default skyrim.

When you are loading the data after you make sure the face part slider is set to high poly, if you look on the top right of the screen, are you doing it under the Presets tab, or the Sculpt tab? It should be in the Sculpt tab - hit F9 to import the facegen data (DU Laelyn.nif) on top of the high poly head. If that still doesn't fix it, check the face part slider again after loading the data.

Sometimes people's games don't recognize high poly presets as using the high poly head automatically, it's unclear to me what causes this to happen but loading the facegen in the sculpt menu after applying the high poly head will fix it every time. If this doesn't fix it for you, double check that you have all the hard requirements and have installed them in the proper order, and move the high poly head and it's requirements to the bottom of your load order to test that they are working properly, repeating the steps I gave previously after every thing you try.

Past this, there is not much I can do to help you resolve this issue. Hopefully this information helps. :)

That seems to have done it. I don't understand why, but just selecting the preset in Sculpt shows most of the selections in red. Applying the preset first, the going to sculpt shows the same content all in green, and it works. I'm scratching my head over that one, since the material was all there both times... but at least it works. Thanks! :)

If parts are red, the polygen count does not match. High Poly is only the face, there are more parts that need to match.
In doubt make sure that you have eyes, brows etc. installed that match the polygen count.
(Normally by installing all required mods of a preset). This so far has worked for me all the time.

There is a possibility to convert between different polygen count - one part can be only converted. I have tried some faces and most problems from converted faces came from non-matching polygen count. In a few cases position was incorrect. In this case you can try to use sliders to get the correct position (for me mainly eyes).
