Hey you!... YES YOU! If you liked the mod, found it useful, don't forget to ENDORSE. YES friends, the next mod I'm preparing is a no high heel armored boots for this wonderful armor, still need some work and testing, but I believe that by the weekend it is released.
You're certainly good at this... But since you were fixing the boots already, couldn't you have... y'know.... fixed them all the way? As in made both sides match up? Made the legs symmetrical? Like why in all hells did DX put ONE lone plate on the right knee and then add some weird longsock to the left? My OCD screams at the absolute horror of mismatched legs... and unfortunately the boots from other sets just don't match this one very well. Yeah, I'm the sort of person who not only has to wear matching socks, but needs them both pulled up to exactly the same height... and I don't wear laced footwear because I'd get bothered if the laces on each foot weren't lying exactly the same way. And if one of my gloves gets a hole, I have to do an identical patch job on the other one too.
In fact every time someone makes an otherwise gorgeous suit of armour but with arbitrarily asymmetric arms / legs, I die a little inside...
Seeing as you somehow removed the heels off of this armor set, could you help me out? I'd like to remove the heels off a different armor set, how did you do it for this? I've never 3d modeled anything before so this would be a first.
Oh it wasn't easy, a mixtured work between NifSkope and Outfit Studio; and then you also need to edit the ESP/ESL to remove the high heels script from it.
Something easy you can try:
Make a backup of the files first.
Open the armor mesh file with NifSkope, select the high heels, click the right mouse button over it -> Block -> Remove branch.
Open some other boot mesh, click the right mouse button over it -> Block -> Copy branch.
Then go back to the armor file and in 0Ninode (at the top), click the right mouse button over it -> Block -> Paste branch.
This will copy the boot of the other mesh file to the armor. I hope this helps a bit.
Hi Xtudo, could you help me out by advising me how you managed to fix the invisible legs bug? Im facing the exact issue, but with a different armor, im using UNP boots and matching it with other TBD bodies (even after converting the UNP boots to using TBD body meshes using Outfit Studio), but in game my character has invisible legs from the knee downwards to the boots. Its super frustrating as it is so horrid to see my character floating above the boots! Thanks in advance
I had to stop by again after I saw some of your final version pictures and...I'm just speechless at how wonderful your mod is, it is both very realistic heavy armor and very feminine at the same tine. I really didn't think you would make it a practical as you did, but you have proven me wrong. :)It's a damn near perfect mod. If there was one small possible improvement you might make (but only if you want to), it would be to give both legs the quilted gambeson look with the armored knee guards. But I'm kind of OCD , and I like symmetrical things, something know most people don't fret about. But all in all, that's a pretty small thing and does not detract from what is a truly great mod. Thanks again for your wonderful mod! :)
About the "both legs the quilted gambeson", I tried that, but I didn't like the final result, so I undid it. The mod is almost ready, this weekend is online.
This is great! One quick question. Does this work with DX Dark Knight Armor - SSE CBBE BodySlide? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/40925
a fix for something i didnt know it was present xd
but i got a question tho: - What boots are those in the description pic - is your (upcoming) tweak a no high heel version? (for me i love those armors but hate high heels)
Hi! For me it was so immersion breaking... I had the vanilla Waterwalking boots (after doing the quest), and when I put them, Sarah's legs were missing, and BAM! immersion gone. Now, not any more.
All are vanilla boots, ebony, steel, and the Ahzidal's Boots of Waterwalking from the Dragonborn DLC.
This mod not removes the high heel from the original boots, BUT now you can use any other boots (and the high heel is gone) vanilla or modded ones. If you did it before, your character had missing legs, now not any more.
And I'm doing some nice armored (no high heels) boots replacer for the mod, that is the next release, so stay tuned.
OMG YOUR ARE GETTING RID OF THE HIGH HEELS!? I LOVE you! I have been wanting to use that armor so bad, but after I made it and saw the heels I uninstalled it. Love the other mod you made too. Keep up the great work. :D
man i love you, havent thought using it with other boots but nice that youre worling on a no high heel version, armors with high heels are so immersion breaking for me and i thought id be the only one
This is awesome. I can't stand the immersion breaking high heels of armors but some of the best armors on Nexus have high heels. Thank you for this wonderful mod on an awesome armor set.
Noice! This was one of the sticking points for me to not download the original armor. The top of the armor was wonderfully crafted, very realistic armor, yet one that very beautifully showed off a feminine form, but then the bottom half just ruined it, specifically the high heels, that was just too immersion breaking for me, imagining a female follower of mine tromping through some dank cave wearing that. Now the Falka armor was a perfect case study in how to do it properly. It looks very practical, and yet looks very beautifully feminine as well. So I've gotta ask, are you planning on making the leg armor a bit more protective as well like the Falka armor is? I hope that means at least pants as well as a possible padded skirt like the Falka armor or actual protective leg plates. But in any case good mod, thanks for fixing that issue.
I totally agree. There are a lot of beautiful armors with high heels but I don't feel it fits my immersive playstyle so I usually pass unless I can make other boots work on the set.
Thank you! I like the rest of the armor but really can't stand the heels. It just really doesn't work it for me and I was disappointed to find I couldn't just swap them.

- Open the mesh file with NifSkope, select the desired section, go to BSDismemberSkinInstance -> Partitions -> Partitions and select "SBP_32_BODY".
This will tell Skyrim that this section belongs to the main body, and it will be shown correctly.I hope this helps.

Maybe in the future, after I finish some new updates, I'll do the CBBE.
BUT, you can use it with any body type.
The alt-cubemaps work though .

I'll wait for the Non-Heels-Version then, to have somethng more practical.
