This is the last mod in the Project Clarity series, I am finally done! "But what about characters?" you might ask. I have a life and for the sake of my sanity I will not be doing character textures. I'd be wrestling with texture seams for ages.
Definitely a staple in my "French Vanilla" load order. While there may not be a huge difference on quality, it was noticeable in the screenshots of the fall forest road. The PC textures did seem to add shadow depth over vanilla, I didn't notice any difference between half and full res ones, so will conserve whatever resources I can to run a smoother game.
Many thanks!
While some mods may make the game look next gen, sometimes the basics make for a more enjoyable experience (especially in nostalgia)
I appreciate your work on improving the quality of these textures! Sadly, I found that the landscape textures seem to benefit the least from upscaling and processing. The original textures were not very good to begin with. Still, I would see this as good reference material for mod creators.
This project is pretty great, but there is one issue. I like how bright the new snow texture is, but it overpowers the surrounding rocks and makes the lighting look off. The snow on the rocks are a darker shade.
This is great, thank you. Now that this is complete, I just have to wait (a few months if not a year) for the prices of the GPUs to come down...so I can get one and play Skyrim the way I want to.
Thank you for doing this series. I love all the great texture mods out there where artistic people put their own stamp on games like this, but sometimes I want to just play a superior version of something I really love and your textures do that for me and I appreciate all your hard work to do these. Hopefully after some time off you'll risk your sanity for those sweet npc textures ;)

Some mods for characters I will suggest:
Skyrim Special Edition Upscaled Textures (SSEUT), for people who want to keep it vanilla.
Cathedral Player and NPC Overhaul, one of the most comprehensive actor overhauls out there. Highly recommend.
Many thanks!
