Couldn't start. The sad girl won't speak to me, and her feet are missing. I installed it with Vortex, but it shows no conflicts at all. Any suggestions?
Ok, figured out the girl. No problem there. However, the village is a different story. I am experiencing CTDs after speaking with every villager. The whole upper tier with the inn, the horse, and the smith is just crash city. I have no other mods installed that affects this area. So, after 7 crashes, I'm done with it, at least until I figure out what he problem is.
Today i just find this mod. I wont tell this mod has the best voice acting, or has the most unique quest's BUT... When i start Song of Parkin-San i dont expect big twist or something like that. In the ending i was pleasantly disappointed. Every single NPC speak like a normal person, has interesting personality. The story writer need to write a book or something. The art works in the ending show me, the creator(s) make this quest mod from heart. I feel empty in the end, like in a good movie series. Well done for the creator(s)! Oh and i want to ask, the ending art works are available somewhere? I try make screenshots, but steam not recognize the outro like a game.
Pleasantly disappointed? Well, that's a praise you don't hear every day ;) Hey, thanks for everything you said, it's cool to know these opinions! If you want to make screenshots just open the .bik video file from the mod folder with some video software :)
This mod does some things really well but also has its flaws. Much of it is well written, and some of the humor was good. The voicing varied in quality but some of it was really good. And the ending was VERY well done - I really liked the narrated video with nicely drawn pictures at the end (and for once the volume of the video was perfectly balanced - most other mods with videos make them far too loud! Well done.). Endorsed.
While the characters were interesting and funny, they were also annoying a lot of the time. There was an excess of over-the-top accents, long exposition, insults, and patronising tones. For me "Sai-Ko" was one of the better realised characters, and "Ho" one of the worse ones. Getting comically insulted by Ho with his ridiculous accent was funny for a while, but after a few of his quests it started to get tedious. A more elaborate boss fight at the end would have been nice.
Overall, I respect what you managed to achieve with this mod. It has charm. Keep making mods, you have a talent for it.
Thanks for the time you took to write about my mod, for the good things you said about it and for meaningfully pointing out those things you didn't like.
I'm really enjoying the mod so far however, I didn't end up find out till later that my boethiah questline is bugged so I am unable to finish it, would you be able to send the commands to use to skip the boethiah portion? Thank you for the mod and your time. :)
I also had some bugged vanilla daedric quests that I could not fix with commands. However, if anyone else has this problem, you can skip the broken part by advancing this mod quest with commands. Open this mod in xEdit, expand the quest section, and look for the quest id (example: "00svShrinesII"). There you will find the right stage to advance with the "setstage" command.
You should change all reference from Samurai to something equivalent in TES universe. The Akaviri's Blades are basically the Samurai of Skyrim (One Dynasty?) You could potentially create a great lore-friendly dynasty similar to the Blades.
Having some trouble with finding the shrine that is south of Winterhold. I'm just assuming it's the Shrine of Azura? If so, then my game is bugged because it will not update my journal when at that location
I am intrigued by this mod but I wonder if you could perhaps upload a brief example video of it? Three screenshots don't give much of an idea of what it's like, and it would be very nice to hear an example of the voice acting.
