Without a functional HMD at the moment I cannot test this entirely, all I can verify is that it does in SSE what I expect it to based on how I understand VRIK functions.

i just have vrik with this, i don't want to get broken archery mod, is there a way you or another mod can make this work without removing my quiver so i can draw the arrow from my back, like what about the arrows unequip auto until i reach to my back and it reequips and repeats after i fire? because currently all this does for me is make me need to go into my menu each time i pull out my bow to equip my arrows which is not fun and only works on the first arrow which defeats the point of me wanting this mod since i want to draw from the quiver between each shot... sorry if i'm doing it wrong or there's a vrik setting i dont know about
This requires simple realistic archery, it's the only mod I know of at the moment that has that function. When I made this I was just using the old version with the reload fix, not sure if I ever tested the latest release. This will absolutely not work without it.
If you are using Simple Realistic Archery VR, and you don't get an arrow-try going to MCM/Simple Realistic Archery VR/ and disable the mod, get out of the MCM, go back in and then re-enable the mod. Also make sure SRAVR is within your first 127 plugins (I load all my SKSE VR mods first)
SRArchery (Simply Realistic Archery) mod didn't used to allow me to pull an arrow from my quiver but now that I moved it under (within) 100 in my plugin load order it works. I didn't need to disable/re-enable SRA in it's MCM myself.
I've had SRA under the 127 plugin count and still experienced difficulties with it initializing. Thankfully, the SRA nexus page hosts a third party beta fix for this called "OnGameReload Fix Beta".
It does as stated: Reinitializes the mod upon game load and allows the mod to kick in. No issues with it yet.
This is a great idea that I've wanted since 2018. That said, I've been using the latest Simple Realistic Archery and VRIK and they already let me draw arrows manually from my back, fire, and draw again without this mod. But I recently uninstalled SRA for two reasons:
1) It seems to repeatedly "corrupt" save files with unattached script instances associated to that mod as confirmed when opened in Resaver even when loaded in the first 127 mods per the instructions. This may not immediately break the game, but these kind of errors can sometimes cause bad things to happen to your game over time (like uninstalling a mod without going back to a save prior to that installing the mod). Thus far, the SRA author has ignored my report of the issue. 2) I want to use grip to draw the arrow AND pull back and release. SRA lets you configure grip for drawing but forces you to use the trigger for pull back and release. To me, this feels very unwieldy in the heat of combat to fire arrows quickly.
Any chance you can address item #2 with your mod and add support for arrow draw even when the bow is equipped via the unsheathed button? This would make your mod incredibly useful, especially if SRA were optional. Otherwise, I'm unclear what functionality this mod adds.
when you equip a bow from a holster in VRIK, it automatically equips an arrow even with SRA. All this mod does is prevent that. The control you use to draw the arrow back is the same as your right hand power attack button, you could always just bind that to grip.
