Since the 1.1.0 update the plugin has been converted to ESP-FE, so it won't count towards the regular esp plugin limit. Form IDs have been compacted to achieve this - this means it is not safe to update mid-playthrough, and if other mods mark this as a master, those mods must be updated as well (I know of absolutely no such mod anywhere on nexus, but a disclaimer, just in case).
If you are still using the old Solitude Wedding mod and its patch, do not update. Since the Solitude Wedding mod is now hidden, I won't update the patch for the new main file.
I was testing this out and I married Lydia. I went with a custom outfit, but she's not changing back into her normal clothes and I never get the outfit back. I tried going back to our house, and now she just is forever wearing her clothes I picked out. I tried waiting, I pickpocketed all of them but after a bit, she was just right back in them, I used console to reset her with "recycleactor" and "resurrect", I made her my follower and tried to swap, but the items aren't even there in that case. I'm tearing my hair out. They've somehow just become her default clothes. This was thankfully my test save, so I'm going to put off getting married in my main game for awhile. HELP!!!
Good lord. I think I even read that part before I installed. Yep, that worked perfectly. Thanks for reminding me to read more closely next time friend!
Thanks for sharing your awesome and underappreciated mods. Not at all a mod creator so not positive about what "hooks into the quest stage" means so r u aware of the compatibility between this and destination weddings?? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/78127?
Is anyone else having trouble with their spouse not changing back? It goes further too, I cannot see the item in their inventory to take it back, nor can I coerce them into wearing something better like armor or the like. Even trying the removeitem command doesn't work.
Sorry to necropost, but yes, I am too. There's a certain window right when we get back to the house that I can pickpocket it from them, but it didn't matter because they put it all right back on within a few seconds. Tried everything too!
AFT is quite complex (probably), and I have 0 experience with it (or follower managers in general because I haven't used any), so a patch from my part in the near future is unlikely.
i found ways around it without use of console actually and tbh u only get married once in skyrim... (welll unless u are a noob and realize you need to fus ro dah your wife off throat of the world... LOL).
I'm not familiar with that mod, but based on its description it moves the marriage over to another location (Solitude). Eeeh... that's steep - the changeback to default clothes may or may not work properly, it depends on whether the new place where the wedding takes place is its own Location or not. And I don't know what it does to the marriage quests stages - if the stage number's meanings are shifted, then the clothes may get applied at wrong times. If it doesn't do that, then it should be fine. To sum up - it needs to be tested. Maybe it works fine, or maybe it gets issues at certain points, could go either way. I'll check when I find the time (and if necessary, make a patch if I find even more time). If you try it before I do, please let us know the results.
So it looks like it will be Compatible with a patch that just moves Dialogue for Bride/groom Clothing from Dinya Balu and Maramal to there Solitude Counterparts at the Temple of the Divines ( i.e Rorlund, Freir or Silana Petreia). HOWEVER during testing I updated S.W.O and it looks like the update Broke S.W.O, this looks like it has nothing to do with your mod though sooooo..... Compatible?
The odds of my mod breaking SWO are non-existent. My mod only adds stuff (apart from one single vanilla edit detailed on the modpage - but that concerns the event when the player walks away from the marriage, it doesn't play a role in a standard, successfully finished wedding). So yeah, apart from the dialogue npc's, it sounds compatible then. It should be a simple patch to just move the dialogues over to that mods characters. This can even be done without a dedicated patch plugin, the main file could be updated to make this adjustment optionally and automatically. It's easier with a direct patch plugin though, and I didn't yet decide which approach to take. Is plugin space an issue for you?
Solitude Wedding is my mod and sadly I'm not sure when I'll get around to updating it.
But YES it does change a few things inside the marriage quest. Specifically dialog unique to Elisif. I've also added several new aliases for additional wedding guests and changed existing aliases for the priest and location. But I don't think I change anything to do with the wedding failure stage. Nor do I change the other stage numbers or their meaning.
Sorry for the delayed answer, I've been terribly busy in the past few days.
Thanks for your input LogicalD, that's good to know In the meantime I finally got around to testing it, and yes we're in luck - nothing conflicts. The stages are the same, the Solitude temple is it's own Location thus my change Location event fires correctly, and also my dialogue edit for the failed wedding doesn't get overwritten. Also - cool mod! I love the idea of being able to invite my own guests and it's not some rando's showing up I don't even know. I think I'll just keep this in my load order So the only thing to do with the patch is indeed to just move my mod's Maramal's dialogue to Tully, and Dinya Balu's to Freir(edit: Silana, because of the voicetype). I'm quite sure this can be done in an esl plugin, getting the best of both worlds of having a dedicated patch plugin but also being light on the load order. So that's what I'll try, possibly even today.
Done, the patch is now available. The main file was also updated because I found a bug while making the patch. Update the main file, download the patch and you should be good to go in Solitude
i know this maybe a question of someone lacking knowledge and its true i do but on 9th and 10th gen Intel computers should be able handle a program structure with 1200 mods or is it that the vanilla engine can not encompass that many.
Just included it as a joke because you can technically set up an empty outfit (just put in a ring and then the ring is literally all the npc will have). Black box so that I don't have to label the mod as "contains sexual content" and categories like that - because it doesn't.

Its high time my dragonborn enjoys peace for a little while.
I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to merge it with other stuff though. That should work.
