Just a project I created for my personal use and decided to upload here. This is a simple re-texture & mesh replacer for Vanilla Guard & Stormcloak Helmets. I might return to improve this later on, but this is my attempt at making the helmets look just a bit better given the limitations of the default model & my own abilities.
Improved armor cuirass textures will be my next step!
NOTE: A previous upload included a corrupt texture which was causing crashes near Solitude. I think I have removed the responsible file version, but if anyone encounters similar problems in other version let me know and I'll try to fix it (or hide the associated files for now). The current version 2.1 is fixed and taken directly from my own game.
All screenshots are taken with NO ENB - just the vanilla game, some mesh/texture mods, and Wander- A Weather Mod. My goal is to give an improved look to the vanilla game, while maintaining the general style and broader artistic intention.
Other mods used in screenshots: guard armor textures from Frankly HD Stormcloak and City Guards (I think!), CC's HQ Guard Shields SE, Cathedral Armory, Wander - A Weather Mod.

- Cleaner, less pixelated texture with added details and improved normal maps.
- UPDATE: new version with improved leather details.
- Optional version closer to Vanilla color available.
- Uses environmental mapping to give Stormcloaks a brighter, more polished look - their helmets are a bit cleaner and more cared for. While city guards may be unmotivated and underfunded (looking at you, Riften...), the Stormcloaks take some pride in their appearance!
- (Optional) Provides a modified mesh for all guard & Stormcloak armor, to give some extra detail. (Courtesy of Varied Guard Armor SE - Vanilla Mashup - Replacer by QwibQwibMods)
- Most importantly - NO .ESP!
