ezPG version should work now with every version of ezPG. I know, it sounds a bit ridiculous, but at least you don't have to worry about your game not starting because of the records missing. It works for me and hopefully for y'all. Thanks to Craftian for suggesting this solution.
Unfortunately it means these NPCs won't have their unique animations anymore. If it bothers you too much, here's workaround by MadveD12 (altered by me):
hello, I'm using the Citizens of Tamriel Visual Overhaul (regular version)but loot found 7 ITM entries and asked me to clean them up, which I did, but nothing changed
I dont use Citizens of Tamriel but the thumbnail instantly got my attention. These are BY FAR the best vanilla friendly character models Ive seen on Nexus. If you ever consider making a full NPC/Character overhaul that would suit me very well :)
Here's how to fix NPC replacers to work with the new update.
Download xEdit, open it up, tick the .esp for the replacer(s) you have installed.
Expand the options under the same replacer plugin, go down to the Non-Player Character (Actor) category and click on [the NPC ID] till you see a bunch of things come up on the right panel.
Scroll down within this panel till you find the list of Packages. It's about halfway down, beneath AI data.
At the bottom, you'll probably see < Error > with a missing record of some kind. Right click on this and then click remove.
Save the plugin and close. You're good to go.
Do the same for other followers like Eris or Nessa if you need to. This has to be done manually unfortunately because both my updated plugin and the replacer's outdated one contain NPC edits that don't immediately work together. The older edits that the replacer .esps are still relying on are looking for follower-specific packages that don't exist, hence the infinite loading screen.
The fact that the problematic packages have been stripped from the main file - at least for those reading this in regards to the AIO - means the plugins won't need to be updated again. It's fully compatible going forwards. I also won't be updating any of these mods further, they're considered finished.
No. Removing packages that don't have errors will break the followers. Only look for edits under Gallyn, Sarath, Strahg, Bacchus, Karna, Nessa and Eris. Can't remember if there's one for Dzarkim, probably not, and Yarrick is an item.
This is just an idea, but I suspect that the missing animation issue for the newest version of the mod might be bypassed by using EasyNPC and selecting this mod as the appearance data source and the original mod as the master plugin. I will not test this hypothesis myself anytime soon though, so I'm just throwing it out here if anyone wants to try and say how it went.
He already has custom .tri files for his beard, I can't do much about it. In my game it has a bit of clipping, I guess it's an original flaw of the mod I used.
Hey Sorca97, I took the liberty of transferring your wonderful replacer into a new ezPG version for myself. I have not uploaded it, as I had to modify your nif npcs numbering due to the new ezPG.esp having new records for some npc faces. I was curious whether you wanted me to send it to you, as the folder pathing is still the same aside from the facegeom folder (changed the citizens of tamriel.esp to ezPG.esp).
If you are too busy, would you allow me to upload the esp with the nif changes, thereby making it a requirement to download your files for texture and hair assets. I am not too keen about this as an option, as it is easier for most users just to download and play. But, I will keep responsibility if something goes wrong (by for example not letting anyone ask you for help due to my own editing) and write a proper instruction for people to follow.
I think I'm having the same issue as Jayombie. With the EZPG version active my game will just sit at the main menu screen. The options to start a new game, load, continue etc. never appear. I'm checking to see if it could be my load order but just reporting if it's something else.
Its probably due to some packages that were updated in some ezpg esps, but not all in the fomod. You will have to use ssedit to remove the packages to stop the game from trying to load something that it cannot find, or pick certain fomod options for whatever is missing for the packages to function.
Edit: After updating I was actually getting the same issue as before. As Madve said removed the " Error: Could not be resolved" warning in PKID - Package." In Sareth and Gallyn records and this fixed the issue.
Can confirm the same errors persist in the current version.

Okay, I know now what's the problem - if I had to make a version TRULY compatible with ezPG, I'd have to make 16 versions!!!! So big NOPE - if you want to use my version, use FULL ezPG version only till I find the solution. Craftian, what have you done...
Only errors left in the current version are the packages for Gallyn and Sarath. Thankfully, they were easily copied from whichever ezPG plugin I ended up getting (IIRC it's the one that only has the core options + all the followers/NPCs with every Citizens NPC intact).
Not too sure what's happening with the packages or why that would be affecting a cosmetic replacer. I wasn't involved in the file that thanatos put together. Records should all be the same across the plugins.
Aww man. So you can't use this unless you install the other add-ons? (Aka the full version with mythos, Emberveil estate,...etc?) There isn't a way we can just have the replacer for all of the citizens in the FMOD?
I always make things as simplest as possible - I never considered making a fomod in any case, it'd take even weeks to test everything fully and as you can see, it didn't work for Craftian. Btw looks like my xEdit and CK hate me for some reason, removing randomly masters and records so nope. If someone could do it for me, I'd appreciate that, but I'm not doing it myself.
I really like your replacer, the facial expression is really good, I even install CoT just because how good your 3DNPC replacer was and want to see this in my game!

You lied to me.....
