Updated my game to 1.6+ and confirmed that this mod still works as intended.

Agreed. Was never a fan of the unlimited approach.

I want to use the stamina-driven one from LE...am I understanding correctly that I can just install as-is into SE and it will work? No additional work needed on my part?

Only "additional work" would be to manually download the original mod file and manually add it to your mod manager. Otherwise, yes it can be installed as-is and used with SSE.

    2016: This mod looks cute.
2019: I've been a lumberjack for three years...

In seriousness though, this is a good one that still works and has no ESP. Just makes cutting wood build more character...for your character...

    > Uses the default weight of 5 for firewood. When SKSE gets released for SSE, the code will be updated to allow for dynamic adjusting of changed firewood item weight.

Bit of a long shot, but since SKSE has been released for SSE for a while now, will you update this to take into account firewood with changed weights? Very useful mod by the way, thanks.

Forgot about this to be honest.

It is safe to use the scripts from the original Skyrim version of this mod in SSE. Link is within the description page. You might need to manually add the mod to your mod manager rather than auto-download as the mod manager may try to apply it to the wrong game.

It won't cause any issues if you remove it. Care was taken to ensure that it could be safely removed. It is possible that there could be a papyrus warning if you remove it while your save has you standing in front of a chopping block (shouldn't but this is Skyrim after all ). So be safe and remove it when you are not near any chopping blocks.

This doesn't do what it says at all.

It says "Purpose: To increase the quantity of firewood received during the wood chopping event." but I am still only cutting 2 logs at a time. How is this increasing anything? I thought it was going to have me chop a max of 6 times to reach my total or something.

Of course you only cut two logs at a time. How can one get more than two logs from a single swing?

What it does is calculates how many logs will fit in your inventory based on current carry weight and max carry weight and then lets you swing the number of times needed to reach that amount rather than stopping you at only three swings.

      For example:
      Firewood weight = 5
      Current carry weight = 50
      Max carry weight = 150

      150 - 50 = 100 empty carry weight
      100 / 5 = 20 logs
      20 / 2 = 10 swings

This mod would cause you then to swing 10 times in the one activation rather than the default of swing 3 times, reactivate and swing 3 times, reactivate and swing 3 times, etc...

Will this mod work with this one? This seems like a really fab mod and I'd really love to have them together .

No. Both mod modify the same script. Use one or the other.

Hmm.. not quite sure what happened to my post of the 19th November 2016 so I'll repeat it, as best I can recall it.

Yay.. one of my all time favourite mods and now I get to Endorse it again. Thank you, Ishara :-)

Not by me. The point of the mod is to chop as much as you can and still be able to run if need be.

That said, you can load up the SSE CK, locate the wood chopping block furniture object, highlight the script, click the properties button and change the value for MaxResourcePerActivation from 6 to a much much higher number. Then obviously not use this script. You won't chop non-stop but you will chop for a very long time.

On the flip side, if you were to find a bag of holding mod that happens to cause firewood to automatically be stored as obtained, then it could be possible to edit this script so that it checks firewood count before hand and compares firewood count as it goes in order to reset the counter. Thus you would truly chop forever.

I misinterpreted the title and thought this would increase the player's max carry weight for every x pieces of wood chopped. It still seems like a nice, convenient mod, but I'll probably come back and install it when I start building my Hearthfire house.

Why put it off till then? Its just an edit of a stock script that will be loaded with each chopping block anyway. No harm to have it installed from the beginning.

Now that is an interesting idea... Wood Chopping FOR MORE Carry Weight
