Sorry, I haven't played Skyrim for a long time and with the latest DynDOLOD versions I can't check. Any workarounds regarding this are very welcome. Thanks
This doesn't work for me because the CRC32 checksums in the *passthru_lod.nif filenames are out of date (and therefore incorrect). For example, the CRC32 checksum of CG4_TreeElm01 in the latest version of CG4 Trees and Bushes SE is 8b64a258, so the filename of the associated 3D LOD mesh should be cg4_tree_elm01_8b64a258passthru_lod.nif.
These should work (@thanhluancklk feel free to take these and use them in an update): https://file.io/EBgge2TJ5gnR
If the above link expires: first you need to figure out what the checksums are for the relevant meshes inside CG4 Trees and Bushes SE, using this website (https://emn178.github.io/online-tools/crc32_checksum.html), then go through the meshes/DynDOLOD/lod/trees folder, and rename the files appropriately (e.g. rename cg4_tree_elm01_67BB367Fpassthru_lod.nif to cg4_tree_elm01_8b64a258passthru_lod.nif)
Thank you for your feedback. It seems that the original mod has been updated by the author so this mod is no longer compatible. I will update it again soon.
Thank you for the mod. I commend you for being able to touch this in the first place as its a HUGE undertaking.
The trouble I keep running into is that DynDOLOD does not recognize your billboards. After examining the file contents I noticed that the names of the .dds textures don't match the name in the original .nif file. I understand the process of creating billboards I have just never done them. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the process however I still cannot get DynDOLOD to find or recognize the billboards.
Edit: I have found the issue and sent a message to the mod author.
Hello everyone, so I couldn’t get these lods to work with Dindalod 3.0, in the distance the trees look terrible, 2d is also with a low resolution( If anyone knows how to make Dindalod generate 3D lods from this mod, please tell me!
[About Dyndorod]: 1) translation: Good morning . I installed Dyndolod a while ago, but when I run it as MO2, I got an error that did not turn on while arranging the ini position strangely, and I was upset for a while. I searched the cafe and there was no similar case. I've googled for a long time, but no one has solved the problem even though there are people with the same error. SSEEdit also had the same error, but in this case, I roughly solved it by creating a folder and skyrim.ini file in the corresponding path, but Dyndolod uses a path that is automatically created and deleted even in the TEMP folder, so this method did not apply. So, after thinking for a long time and trying, the solution was the path where the Dyndolod program was installed. Before that, there was a '-' mark in the folder path, but I removed it and it worked. So '-' I thought it was because of this guy, but after turning it on again a few times, the same error occurred. I've solved it, but it's also very inconsistent. Following my previous experience, I renamed the folder where Dyndolod was installed and re-registered it in MO2. Well, I don't know if there's a good reason for making the folder name as simple and short as possible. Anyway, since I haven't pinpointed the exact cause, renaming the folder where Dyndolod is installed doesn't necessarily fix the error. It can happen again and sometimes it doesn't . However , sometimes it is enough to change the folder name a few times . This is not a clear solution, so I thought about whether or not to use it as a tip. Anyway, I tried to give up Dyndolod in this way, and I succeeded, so I will write it down to leave information.
