Are these snowy wall textures in front of the Palace of Kings from Northfire's Windhelm? I am asking because they seem to be the only snowy walls in Windhelm. And the snow patches are rather badly flickering when moving, at least in my setup with FXAA and 1920x1080.

I am using this mod to overwrite other Texture mods. I just wanted to check this wall color normal?

Well its not the wall texture thats the problem, its the snow texture. All your snow is flat, to bright a without texture. You need a dynamic snow mod.

Yeah okay thanks I will look into a snow mod. I am using Noble Skyrim overwrite with Skyrim 202X. This mod overwrites all of them.

Hi , my name is GamerPauly, I am a Porter & Mod Author for Xbox, PC and PlayStation, I mainly upload mods to Bethesda.net (Xbox) and wondered if I could obtain your permission to upload any of your mods to Bethesda.net, it would be mainly in bundles e.g. Skyrim AIO`s, SMIM`s, Landscape, Water bundles  etc.

I just noticed you state including assets for uploading to xbox was ok but I always prefer to ask and consider it the polite thing to do.As usual I would continue to give you full credits and post links back to your mods and nexus profile.I look forward to hearing from you.Kind RegardsGamerPauly

Thanks for the amazing texture!  I have a problem though, I think your texture works fine but some other mods cause the texture went to pitch white.  I have 300+ mods installed,  is  there a way to check or find what's the problem coming from?  Any help are welcome!

That looks really wierd. Cant say I have seen anything like it. It doesn't seem to affect all my textures tho. Is it still there if you turn of your enb?

Thanks for the reply. I tried turn of the enb and weather mod, it's still there. I have a lot of city replacer installed,  this problem only happened on Windhelm and Winterhold, which I notice maybe it is about snowy location? I still can't figure out what cause it, I also tried turn of better dynamic snow and snow textures, no luck. I hope someone can help me figure out.

Well my textures does include Winterhold to some extent as it uses some of the same textures. Texture mods alone won't cause errors like this as far as I know so it might be mesh related. Do you use the parallax add-on by Kulharin?

Thanks for your patience. All right, I turn off the parallax add-on, and it did something, most texture are correct(inside city), but some outside wall and part of the bridge are still white.

Ok, I found this. Wierd mountai textures It looks the same as your issue but affecting different surfaces. He had a solution that might point you in the right direction.

In case you didn't find the solution yet, I believe this happens because you have Better Dynamic Snow 3.0+ together with parallax shader fix. If you use parallax you can only use BDS 2.11

I had the same problem (I'm running Skyrim VR), and at least in my case, it wasn't an issue with this mod, it was an issue with using Parallax Mesh Patch Collection in VR. Following this guide https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IrA2a5q-rVWBpDv3DIvZLdxSx5RopMnLbzEmLO2pDlA/edit?usp=sharing and more specifically, installing Material Objects Disabler (Beta) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/52229?tab=files&file_id=213892 solved the problem for me.

Hi! I had exactly the same problem. How did I solve it? I had the Assorted mesh fixes mod - Major Cities Mesh Overhaul . That was the problem on the Windhelm Bridge with white textures like yours. So using Mod Organizer you click on the mod and then: Assorted mesh fixes - Major Cities Mesh Overhaul\meshes\architecture\windhelm\windhelmbridge.nif. Here it is windhelmbridge.nif - select hide.

This is because parallax is trying to apply to objects with a single pass snow shader.  single pass shaders are not compatible with parallax

I notice a lot of normal textures have full transparency, is this intended?  Doesn't this make them incredibly reactive to UV or do the meshes handle that?

Well the rule i follow is "does it look good in game?". Do you have an example and does it look strange? I have not made many mesh settings edits as I'm not well versed in doing them. I usually just look at the vanilla textures and how they are set up, then I work from there.

I've downloaded the footsteps fix but I still hear snow crunching and I see snowy footprints on muddy ground. Nothing is overwriting either the main file or the footsteps fix.
I also have Dlizzio's Mesh Fixes, perhaps there's a conflict? That mod has a plugin.

Sounds like a load order issue. The footsteps fix should be loaded last of the relevant mods.

It is loaded last, nothing is overwriting it. I use MO2 and I have a clear view of all the conflicts and what wins them. It's overwriting Dlizzio's meshes as well. However, Dlizzio's mod has a plugin and perhaps something is changed there?

That's probably it. As his mod is more than a mesh edit he would need to make a patch for this I guess. Have you tried to uninstall Dlizzio's Mesh fixes to se if it works?

Dlizzio's mod is not at fault, I checked.

Apparently, enabling this setting in powerofthree's tweaks .ini is what makes the sound and footprints persist:
      Dynamic Snow Material
Applies snow material to all statics with directional snow/snow texturesets, eg. Footprints mod will work on snowy wooden planks and roads.
I wouldn't want to set that to false for all statics, just to have a proper experience in Windhelm only.

      Could there be a workaround?

I way out of my league her I'm afraid as it´s not the direction of modding I'm working in. The Po3 developers might have some input. Sorry if I can't help you more.

Am I the only one, or is this retexture incompatible with Simplicity of Snow?
I've been testing it yesterday and I come across weird shining on snow (walls and roofs and some other objects). Deleting one or the other, fixes the issue.

Anyone has any idea why this occurs and if there's possible to get a fix for it ?

Thats wierd. I checked the Simplicity of Snow mod page and as it's designed to be as compatible as possible I would guess that the mod author of it would be more helpful then I could ever dream to be. Hope you find a solution.

I've tried all the Windhelm retextures, even some of the very recent ones. This is still the best out there. It actually makes the meshes look half-decent.
