Recently discovered this mod. Love it!! it is simple and to the point. I am also in VR. I read some of the comments before downloading and opted to make some changes in xedit to lower light intensity, and change sounds. Works like a charm. I added the audio from another mod that has different variants, and applied it by saber color (example red, pink, orange all sound like vader rogue 1, violet like kylo ren, blue, cyan, green sound like prequel). Yellow retains your original audio.
I upped the damage a little because one thing i dislike in star wars games is when it takes twenty whacks with a saber to finish an enemy. Slightly OP? Yes... but then my character is also lvl 55. He knows his way around a blade, and magic. Forsworn are a one slash finish. Dragons still take a couple more whacks.
Lots of fun to be had with this mod. Thank you and endorsed!!
I do not know how to do that, and not sure that I could anyway without the mod authors' permissions.
I can tell you what I did though, in Xedit just look for the weapons section and go through each saber to adjust its base damage up. I forget what numbers I used for mine, since it is calculated against my character level, but as an example in game my violet magicka saber has a damage output of 614. I went a little extra in the "constructible object" section by adding the requirement for different colored flawless gemstones for each type of saber.
As for the colors, I did two things- First I lowered the intensity of the light (there is a box for that in xedit), and second i changed the light itself so it does not cast shadows. Since I like to give some of my followers magicka sabers, removing the ability to cast shadows saves crucial fps in VR, but still looks cool.
For the sounds- use this mod, it has instructions on how to replace the audio. Everything I changed is pretty easy to do, as long as you know how to work in xedit. If not, youtube has good guides.
thought id post this to help out with a common problem.
in order to get the proper zworn sound when sheathing your lightsabers, do the following:
1: open the .esp in xedit. 2: scroll down to the 'Weapon' section. there you will find all the different varieties of saber. 3: click on any one. on the right panel, find the sounds. they will have names like 'WPNSaberSwingDS' 4: find Unequip Sound. it will be the last of the sounds. it should read 'WPNSaberSheathSD' 5: double click on that field to open a dropdown menu. 6: scroll up to find the sound 'WPNSaberIgniteOffSD' and click that 7: repeat for each individual saber. 8: save and quit. your lazor sords will now zworn correctly when extinguished!
A lazier way is to simply open the 'WPNSaberSheathSD' sound, note what WAV file path it is.... then and simply change the sound file (.WAV) file for "WPNSaberIgniteOffSD" to refers to the .WAV file that 'WPNSaberSheathSD' refers to.
I was hoping this mod would fix the lightsaber glow from the original mod but it doesn't. I just get blasted with light! its sucks cause this is such a good mod. I followed the vid on switching the meshes from V2. And it didn't work. This mod doesn't work either. Im just getting blasted with light. does anyone know another fix for this? im going crazy.

Is there a fix for the saber not making a powering down sound?
This mod is soooo good, just not digging the silence when the blade turns off.
Edit,
This mod has had this bugged silent powering down issue for 3 years.
Id say this mod is abandoned and their wont be a fix.
