BTW regarding texturing another user complained about - the issue with that stuff usually isn't the texture so much as the UV/Normal mapping and lighting. By adjusting the mapping of the texture and how shadow and light affect it you can make it fit in well.
(I also would have been absolutely fine with it if you had adjusted the color palette of it BTW. It is Skyrim after all.)
Glad you still like it! I'm aware that my texturing doesn't always work out like I'd want it to, and that I improve at it slower than on modeling (well, I also enjoy it a lot less). Another lesson learned for me is, that for finer details to really come across in-game they should REALLY stand out in nifskope. Otherwise it often just looks like a solid color, unless you look at it at fov 30 or lower (and yes, normal maps often need to be stronger - if it looks just right in blender, it's probably invisible ingame). Regarding lighting, color palette etc., it's hard to predict how it will look on any single users setup - enb, reshade, lighting overhauls, weather overhauls, texture replacers, etc. My testing profile is practically vanilla in that regard, and I'm still often surprised by how it looks ingame^^ And lastly I'm simply not a great screen archer.
After using mostly premade materials on early projects, and then going almost completely procedural, with a little Gimp tweaking, I hope to next learn to actually DRAW details by hand - and get a graphics tablet for that. I think if I succeed in that, I might go back to enhance quite a few older swords.
Hey! I really liked the weapon mod. I also appreciated the almost "Cartoonish" look of it, it had a nice contrast from my usual Skyrim experience. I posted a video covering your mod if you would like to check it out!
Thank you! Yes, that is a though decision each time. Do I texture it how I'd like it to look, or so it fits better into the game. Since this was a historic build requested by a user, I went more or less with the reference photos.

Definitely some of the finest historical weapons available for Skyrim SE.
