Alternate Voice Files For those of you who aren't happy with Cicera's voice in the Cicero Female mod, there's an alternate option that can be downloaded from Skyrim LE, so there's no need to download CiceReal if you don't want to:
Thanks to detra, I ran the script to identify ESL-capable ESPs again and realized that the main "Cicera - Female Cicero Dialog Edit" file can be safely ESLified. I've therefore uploaded it as version 1.1.
Another issue was that all the version 1.1 patches didn't have the necessary masters, which could have caused issues. I've therefore uploaded corrected versions of all the previous patches as version 1.2.
I've also added a patch for The Choice Is Yours.
WARNING: Do NOT use the patch for The Choice Is Yours if you're already using the Cutting Room Floor patch. The CRF patch will patch both CRF and TCIY.
Black Face glitches always happen when something overwrites something else it's not supposed to. Is it possible you don't have the mesh/texture files in the same order as the ESP? That will immediately lead to Black Face, because then you'd be using the wrong meshes/textures with the Cicera ESP, or vice versa.
I made sure your replacer was loaded after cicereal in the plugins and mods. it works fine with cicero female, just cicereal causes issues. I tried switching their load order, but it just causes the same glitch but with the cicereal model. I also disabled total character makeover, and the bug persisted. I might need to do something other than load order, but idk what. no fault on your part ofc, just a bit confused on what the issue is on my part
edit: face discoloration fix seems to have fixed it. it's a temp, but still works for me
Do you use MO2? If you do, you can check to see if any of the resources in my mod are being overwritten by other mods, i.e. not just the ESP. And you can check the ESP with SSEEdit. But I might be a bit confused. So, you get Black Face if you use CiceReal but not with Female Cicero? I might need to check on that, because I don't think I've ever used the CiceReal mod. It's possible it might need a patch.
yep, mo2. ah okay, it might not just be another mod causing the issue then. but yeah, I was using the cicereal mod for the voice. unless theres another way to get that specific version of her voice. can I get the way you did it if you dont mind me asking?
Choose the first file named FemaleCicero_fixedlipsync and install it normally in MO2 as a mod. They're only sound files and should work perfectly in SE.

I wasn't aware of it, and last night I hit the spot where Cicero/Cicera arrives at the Sanctuary, and I noticed that all the members still said his, him, etc. I was thinking about changing some prompts and subtitles, and then ran across this mod today. I had not noticed it before, because I play on LE. So today I backported it into my game.
I opened it up in the LE Creation Kit and resaved it to change things back to form 43. Maybe not necessary, but it gave me some piece of mind. I then merged it into the mod "Your Choices Matter - A Dark Brotherhood Expansion" to save an ESP slot (since LE doesn't support ESL), with only a few adjustments - one dialogue line I think, and a few small tweaks to maybe 2 quests. The audio worked fine on LE as expected. I didn't use the patches because I already had some of them patched in my Overrides file because of other mods, and did my own tweaks for a few other conflicts like for the books and Legacy of the Dragonborn.
So tonight, I reran through that same scene where Cicero/Cicera shows up, and it is so much better. Even better than I expected. So thanks again for creating this mod and the modified dialogue audio. Endorsed!
You're very welcome! And it's nice to see other taking initiative. If you wish to upload your LE backport, please feel free to do so. Just don't forget to credit me. But you'd probably need to do some work to get it into a form in which others can use it. Anyway, thanks for the encouraging words, and I wish you much fun with the mod.
Thanks, dulipat, for reaching out. I finally found some time to look into this. It seems "Your Choice Matters - A DB Expansion" only overrides two scenes in my mod. One is a scene with Astrid where she's talking about Cicera's madness, the other is toward the end of the DB quest series, when your PC is talking to the injured Anbjorn in front to the Dawnstar Sanctuary. The dialogs from "YCM - A DB Exp" will override the dialogs from my mod in those two cases. Otherwise, you shouldn't have any issues. If I ever find the time, I'll think about creating a patch. But who knows, maybe WhiteWolf424242 will be so kind and create the patch for us. :)
My personal head-cannon is that Cicero used a spell to change into a girl and nobody wants to acknowledge it so they still say 'him' like the transphobes they are
The CRF patch is if you have Cutting Room Floor installed. The patches have all been ESLified, so they won't count toward the 255 maximum in your load order, meaning you can install as many of them as you want. If you have CRF installed and don't use the patch, you'll have a few conflicts with the "Delayed Burial" quest, meaning stuff CRF tried to cut back in won't work correctly.
