love how the URL for AE users doesnt lead to a patch or updated version, it just leads to the downgrade patcher. basically says the version you like playing on is wrong and I disagree with your choices.
anyways, anyone actually looking for a patch to make this AE compatible can click here
I get that version updates are annoying and all, especially when the game is 10 fμçkίñğ years old, but at the same time...the modding community usually swallows its pride and updates. The snarkiness of some authors passive aggressively telling everyone to downgrade to use their mod is unnecessary, juvenile, and annoying.
The author just try to save your nerve and time leading you strait to the answer how to solve your problems but you resist for some reason. 1.597 is the best and stable version. Believe me I've tried 1.640 couple of times and it ended up reinstalling all skse mods and going back to 1.597
I could tell you that Racemenu morths and SSE engine fixes conflicts in 1.640 and they make morths not apeal in realtime in game so mods like obody works just partly and fertility and other sex mods don't work at proprerly at all. Also some bugs related to SMP physics in 1.640 is also presented and they probably will never going to be fixed. Also you don't have SKSE fix for high heels in 1.640 just mere esp. plugin trying to do the same job but fails most of time.
So just don't blame author he defenetly has his own reasons to tell you that's the best way to run his mods.
It's more likely that he plays one version of the game for his own mod setup and doesn't care to keep track of 4 different files representing 4 different versions of the game. He has 40 mods on the nexus and that means he'd have to waste his personal time, for free, giving support for 120 different files rather than a simple 40. He's posted other user-made patches for different versions of the game on his mod pages before as they came out.
But the patch for this one came out a year after AE came out. He's not going to keep track of every random user-made patch and update every one of his mod descriptions as they come out. That requires not only godlike omniscience, but it's also just too much free work, while you contribute absolutely nothing to him but a bunch of whining characters from a keyboard, brother.
Not only that, but you could very easily just look at the "Mods Requiring This File Section" to find patches that you are looking for instantly, on just about any mod on the Nexus, without him having to bother doing all that. Like most intellectuals do.
@Valdaron93 Just because you are incapable of adapting to change and learning new things doesn't change the reality that AE is and will always be standard, at least until if another update comes, which hopefully it won't. I understand the frustration, but I can't support the delusion. At least it's not as laughable as people still playing LE and asking for support like... what?
@HawkeChavanne ikr lol. i will always laugh at these people who get so offended when a mod author goes out of their way to make a mod but it's just not on their version... then they act so entitled & direct their hate towards the mod author 😂
@Valdaron93 tbh it's more or less the fault of SSE engine fixes as when it was updated it was rushed as the memory address weren't fully checked thus the conflict with Racemenu also that fact that when you turn some settings off, it fix's it. but at the cost of the game crashing more. so it's not the fault of 1.640 but more or less one mod that was rushed. and wolfpack49 can't do a thing about it as they don't have the source code funny how closed source code in mods screws people over in some cases.
@sutofokasu you mean 1.6.640 or do you mean the Skyrim Anniversary Edition cause Anniversary Edition is a DLC bundle pack. like fallout 4 GOTY DLC bundle.
Its so weird how mod authors are disproportionately absolute basketcases. Like, no, I'm going to use the version of the game that all the other mod authors support instead, and which has more content, more bug fixes, and more expanded features that mods can take advantage of.
I just want to say thank you for your hard work. A little positivity in this comment section. It is sad that almost every person who advocates for AE as the superior version seem to be the most unfriendly people.
Im sorry to hear that. I am finally upgrading to AE after years on Skyrim base and SE. Unfortunate I can t have this. Guess I just gotta kill everything
It's not a matter of superiority at this point. Fact is, it's been three years since AE and the mods have caught up. AE is simply the standard now and anyone still against it is being contrarian and whinging for no reason.
I wouldn't mind AE so much if some of the mods forced upon you, were not interfering garbage like saints and seducers'. It's a quest that interferes in every playthrough. I'm happy if people like it, but I do think the option to disable it like a normal mod should of been included.
@scean25 You can disable any of the CC mods; you just delete the plugin. Alternatively, you could make a dummy (empty) plugin, rename it to the CC content you want gone, and overwrite the actual plugin (my personal recommendation). Alternatively to that, you could search for Reduced Cut-type mods that keep the mechanics but remove the more intrusive aspects.
Getting rid of CC content is possible and isn't that hard to do with just a tiny bit of effort, so frankly its existence/presence isn't an issue. The issue is that people would rather whine about it than make an attempt to actually do anything about it, and worse yet they have a bad habit of getting an attitude when it's pointed out to them that they're complaining about a solvable problem that they're refusing to solve. That "I don't want a solution, I just want to be mad" mentality gets really old, really fast.
i'm trying better combat escape NG this mod is a requirement for.
i cannot get this to work. my followers are still running around looking for that invisible enemy. they arent ceasing searching at the right appropriate time.
Limitations and Issues: 1. Since the plugin's functions only triggered when player transfer between cells, you have to keep yourself moving to get rid of combat state. My plugin functions will not run if you keep stay in a cell.
I assume this does not overwrite the default vanilla way that NPCs disengage, right? (where you get so far away from the NPCs they basically lose interest)
Imagine fing over your whole pc community by updating code for your game that only is useful for xbone.....and thus ruining years of modders work for no reason....
So tired of fanbois. You havent posted a mod, nor have you probably worked on one with a mod author, yet here you are on a MOD page advocating for bugsthesda? Really, bruh?
@DizzyXC They are not fanbois... They are employees. Just a guess though. Because war of information is everywhere in this world. For each truth, someone has something to gain by spreading an opposing lie.
no AE is not garbage ,the stuff it gives you is nothing compared to special edition espically the saints and seducers content and its armor armor and weapons outclass dragonbone weapons and armor by far it was pretty much the same process back in oblivion as well
@CorporaQuinn2nd If you want armor mods, there are plenty of those on the Nexus, that are certainly not any worse. If this is what the AE has to offer... then @BraveSeaTurtle is right.

Watching those two giants break combat and start slowly lumbering away made my day.
I was cursing them out and everything, it was great.
10/10. Would endorse again.

Only reason most of us are fine is because we downgraded back to 1.5 thanks to a mod. Let's face it, bethesda been ruining a lot of things.
