This comment section... Sometimes it amuses me, sometimes it enrages me.
This mod works, no matter which version of the game you're running. Whether it's version 1.0 from the day of its release on 11/11/11, Legendary Edition, Special Edition, Anniversary Edition or the potentially upcoming Super Special Legendary Awesome Edition that runs on your refrigerator. If it supports mods that were created with the Creation Kit, it will work! It's just a simple, basic fix/tweak that doesn't rely on any scripts. All that it does, is assign the Fortify effects to the Restoration school of magic, like it was in the original game. The unofficial patch removed that assignment. So, even if Bethesda themselves fixes it in one of their patches, this mod will still revert it and make it work again. The day this mod stops working is the day Bethesda makes a change that breaks absolutely EVERY single mod in existence.
If the mod doesn't work for you, it's because YOU did something wrong. All you have to do is make sure of 3 simple things:
This mod is loaded AFTER the unofficial patch.
This mod is loaded AFTER any mods that make changes to the spell/enchanting system. Generally, the lower it is in your load order, the better.
You know how to do the exploit correctly.
My guess is that most people who can't get this to work fail at point 3. Learn how to do the exploit! There are lots of videos on YouTube that show you how it's done. You need to be good enough in Alchemy for that. You need some perks in Alchemy for the potion to be strong enough to actually make a difference. And your enchanted gear with the Fortify Alchemy enchantments needs to be good enough, too, otherwise your potion won't change much.
Have a set of Fortify Alchemy gear and equip it.
Create a Fortify Restoration potion.
Drink the potion and exit your inventory.
Unequip and re-equip your Fortify Alchemy gear.
Repeat from step 2.
If the boost stops after a certain point, it's because your alchemy and/or your enchanted gear simply isn't good enough.
Here's a quick and simple way to test if it works, using console commands:
player.additem 0003995c 1
player.additem 0010df48 1
The first command gives you an Elixir of the Healer potion, which fortifies your restoration by 50%. The second command gives you Necklace of Eminent Alchemy, which fortifies your alchemy by 20%. Now, drink the potion. Exit the inventory for the potion to take effect (might work without that step, but just to be sure). Open your inventory again and equip the necklace. Now look at your active effects. If it says your alchemy is fortified by 30% instead of 20%, then congrats, the mod works and you just don't know how to do the exploit correctly. If it doesn't work, your load order is wrong. If you are confused because the enchantment on the necklace says it fortifies only by 20% again after the potion effect ran out, then that's normal. That's how it's always been and is just the way the Skyrim engine works. You will still see the 30% in your active effects if you haven't taken off the necklace, regardless of what the description says in your inventory.
I'm sorry if this comment sounds somewhat harsh, but it just baffles me how after over 10.5 years of this mod existing, people still can't get such a simple thing to work and then come here to complain that the mod doesn't work when the fault is obviously on their side.
IDK what is up but it "kinda" works. It makes the 20% alchemy necklace a 25% one but it will go no further or even lower it to 24%. The load order position of the Unofficial Patch is 10, right after all the base files. The load order position of this mod is 15.
Is this correct?
I make the potion, drink the potion, exit my inventory, back in the inventory and unequip and re-equip the necklace and it does not change. It goes up to 24 and never goes up.
WHy is it not working?|
My problem was that I wasn't creating strong enough potions.
Thank you for that - I feel like it was not a "bug" to be fixed. "Restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise!"

I'm not sure because of others mod or not. I tried everything until step 3, and the result unchange (from 20% to 30%, and still 30% even I repeat step 2 and 5 several times). And it back to 20% after effect wear off.
For anyone using Ordinator perks of Skyrim, this is compatible, you just have to do some things. First read the mod authors pinned comment, their instruction work. Also I've done some testing and it worked for me. as the mod author said in the pinned comment, you need to get your alchemy bonus high enough to make a difference, otherwise the bonus stops increasing at a certain point. I use the GOG version of the game ( version 1.6.659) here is what worked for me 1. follow the mod authors instructions in the pinned comment. 2. get expanded mastery perks mod for Ordinator . originally Ordinator only gives you 2 ranks in the mastery perk, this increases it to 5 like in the base game. 3. in game, in the alchemy tree, put 3 - 4 points into the mastery ranks and get the advanced lab perk and upgrade an alchemy lab. these bonuses stacked along with some decent fortify alchemy enchanted items should give you enough of a snowball effect to get the exploit going.
Hopefully this helps anyone who needs this mod but wants to keep Ordinator.
