Keep in mind, this mod may not be compatible with other mods involving the Atronach Forge that edit the room it's in, or how it functions.

We have points of similarity in both TES and Elric lore where we have been able to smoothly combine the stories, while staying true to the lore.

Sorry guys, but due to the constant game breaking updates and limitations of the game's engine and Creation Kit, we are moving the quest /dlc mod to Elder Scrolls 6. With what we are working on for this mod, well it just wouldn't be fair to Elric to release something not up to par.
A few observations from a Moorcock and TES fan of old, some of which may be helpful to both the uninitiated and the modders:
Prior attempts have been made to bring this chaotic creature of the multiverse into Tamriel ,with varying degrees of success, obviously. I enjoyed the prior version for Oldrim, but it was even more grossly overpowered than this with the addition of black soul generation and very low item weight, but although it didn't have a voice, it did have a deliciously sensuous unsheathing sound accompanying it to give it personality, IIRC. Random whispers and negative terrified reactions from random NPC's would add a lot of character to this mod if your team cares to add that, unless that's already in the works, of course. Health, stamina, and magic absorption all together is something I would also have expected these blades to provide for their wielder, since we know Stormbringer offered Elric the ability to live without all the herbs and drugs he needed before wielding the Runeblade. Elric didn't interact with Stormbringer as if it were a sentient being even though Stormbringer is a sentient being, so that kind of addition really isn't at all required. Stormbringer is strangely passive aggressive, which is certainly its own kind of evil. Vigilants of Stendaar would rightly be overtly hostile to a bearer of Stormbringer. They'd know intuitively that it's extremely evil.
And finally, I'm going to assume that your quest for these blades put it at the end of a very hard boss battle with their current owner. That would make sense, and if so, I would hope that there would be dungeon crawl on par with the one in the DLC Mehrunes Razor for TES4. That was actually a really neat dungeon IMO. If not, there are certainly ways to fuse various assets from other realms in TES5 into something smaller in scale but befitting whatever your vision might be. Just, please, pretty please, anything but yet another slog though more Falmer and/or Draugr!

Awesome mod really, but, just out of curiosity, why are the base stats so insanely overpowered? I mean, I can just nerf it in xEdit, so no real issue, just not sure why.
Sorry didn't see this notification. The stats are to try and match the swords' descriptions in the story as much as possible. The team did go back and forth a lot on that one though because it is so OP.
Hey GaiusMartius , We're actually working on some updates for the meshes and textures of the swords. Are you asking about 4k textures to match AE upgrades or did you have something else in mind?
The Elric saga, and his Stormbringer sword has a large fan base, so there have been a few different Stormbringer swords, and Elrics made.
As far as I know, there haven't been any Elric saga quest mods created for Skyrim yet. Our mod is a "sneak peak" of the swords that will be in the quest mod we're working on now.
The mod is only close in story but made no direct reference. Only linking it so you can get some ideas.
The blade consumes souls and give perks. Quite an interesting system at that time. Depending on what soul you feed it, Dragon souls/Vampire etc give different ability.
Of cos I know you are remaking a quest mod but I hope you can put into some interesting powers into the blade as it grows.
With the current mods resource much more can be done.

No worries. That would be great, I think the swords were always a little too dark to show off the grain (outside of first person) in the material too. IMO

hiya, this seems to be a really great mod when it's done, i'm curious about how you guys are gonna handle the addictive nature of the blades, is it something along the lines that if you don't use the sword for a certain amount of time you get debuffs as though you're going through withdrawals?
Exactly , it'll be like a withdrawal. We're working out the details of how much not using the sword will affect you, but it will hurt you in similar ways as it does in the book. Have it negatively affect health and stamina at least.
Hey! Love the swords guys! I'm on xb1 and they're so fun to use. One question though. Upon equipping/unequipping the sword, my game freezes abd it takes SEVERAL seconds before the sword can be equiped or unequiped. I dont have smim or anythinglike that. Has anyone reported this before and if so is their a solution? Thanks
Thanks oshinxsenpai , Sorry that's happening. No one's reported it before and we tested it on our pc and xbox one. I'll be happy to work with you to get it resolved, and I'll update the mod if we can find the fix, or see if we find any mod incompatibilities.

Are you running any mods that might affect swords or smithing?
Do you have any trouble running 2K texture mods?
I know it's on Xbox, so it's trickier to do this, but can you try to send me your mod load order? You can message it to me, or post in the Bugs section of this mod. The order that mods load in can sometimes cause incompatibilities that can be fixed by moving the mod.

The humming, was that in the original Stormbringer mod or in this Twins? There was an idle sound in the orig mod that was buggy so was removed. It was supposed to play only occasionally but would either never play or never stop lol. But I think we removed that before Twins.

Hoping a sword that devour souls and can add perks. With custom skills framework and different types of souls for different ability.
Cant help you with it as i am not good in modding. Only simple conflict fixing ability via xedit.
We are planning on doing more with the swords, along the lines of what they do in the saga, so this could be a big help.
