Is it possible to give them their armor back? Something to do with swapping files?

Just remove the mesh files to give them back their armor, as all these mesh files here do is remove the armor.

Okay, I 'think' I have found why the two Dawnguard huskies are invisible.
If anyone would be willing to help test this I'd be most grateful - I think the mesh to remove their armor might be causing the issue, so if anyone could help please just delete/hide the Meshes folder and see if Bran and Sceolang are visible again.

Again, I'd be most grateful, I'm having trouble re-creating the invisible Dawnguard huskies so troubleshooting this issue has been difficult.

      hey Devestational,

I made the mod Simple Husky Variants that allows you to have 2 different colors for the normal huskies( 1 color for armored and one color for unarmored, no esp). I just assign 1 texture to each husky nif , which also lets them be compatible with wolf textures to make hybrids.(since the meshs are almost identical and share every other asset except diffuse textures)

I was trying to get it to work with your mod so there could be 4 different color huskies in the game using only your esp and my meshes. I have True Wolves of skyrim, all rougeshot's canine skeletons, and my mod working together. Bran and Sceolang are getting renamed textures from True wolves, rougeshot's skeleton and using my meshes(vanilla w/texture path change)

When I add in your mod they go invisible.
I tried swapping out the meshes with vanilla renamed meshes(armored and unarmored) still invisible. not the meshes.....????
I loaded up your mod into the creation kit and it gives an error (parent nif not found on both).......???
Loaded up the original mod(was gonna convert it myself) and it works perfectly as is(-forum 44 error).............????
I compared to 2 mods and yours has a very simple folder error(at least the one you uploaded does, you probably got the right files in your game but made the error when packing it up to upload)

      original mod
      Data\meshes\dlc01\armoreddog\huskybran.nif

      uploaded file
      Data\meshes\actors\dlc01\armoreddog\huskybran.nif

Remove the actors folder (blocking the game from seeing the mesh) and everything works perfectly!!!!

Do you have any other texture replacers for huskies? Or any mods that change them in any way?

Did it make all huskies invisible or just Bran and/or Sceolang, or just generic huskies? If I can get as much information as possible I'll try to recreate the issue and see if I can find a fix for it.

No one else seems to have mentioned this issue so I'm assuming it all worked for them, so might be something in your load order/on your end. I'll try to help as much as I can though.

The same thing happened to me. Bran & Sceolang became invisible, but not other huskies (i.e. random NPC huskies). I have no mods that change huskies in any way. I installed this mod with mod manager & already checked the load order with LOOT.

It made bran and Sceolang invisible.
no other generic huskies are affected.
mods i have installed for dogs:
    Vigilance Reborn SE
    Meeko Reborn SE
Animal Followers (beta) - just a tame wild animal mod, doesnt change appearance

your mod works for generic huskies and the 2 armored huskies included with Dragons Keep SSE

Awesome, thank you for this mod!

Does this .ESP need to go above or below any other husky mods, such as Garm, "Meeko is a husky", etc., or can it go under general meshes/textures category within the load order?

    Thanks again.

This mod won't touch Garm as Garm has his own set of textures.

If "Meeko is a husky" uses the vanilla husky textures then this mod will apply it's normal husky texture to him, but if it has custom textures then this mod shouldn't touch it - though I can't say for sure as I don't use that mod, I use Meeko Reborn SE.
