    This mod conflicts with "Tranquil Windstad" having both results in clipping issues mostly in the entry way, but also in some other locations.

    Hello everyone. I've been out of Skyrim modding for some time now due to family complications and the passing of a loved one.

    I've recently reviewed all the feedback below but I am not going to be continuing work on this mod. Instead I've started working on a major Lakeview overhaul project for the last 3 days. I'm hopeful to have it completed within the month but we'll see. It's a lot of custom scripting and manipulating of AI packages. I'll take into consideration your feedback and bugs encountered while creating this (despawning items etc.)

    You can see the exterior in this video to give you an idea what to expect. Following intended features listed below.


    • Craftable exterior.
    • 6 Craftable interiors that NPCs can be assigned to once hired through workbench.
    • Barracks for housecarls recruited (approximately 7 beds for followers my home is your home). Options to recruit all housecarls to defend your home and patrol the grounds.
    • Salt and iron mines manned by 2 miners of your hiring choices and miners' lodging.
    • Trader house which npc you hire (Faendal X Camilla Valerius example) is your choice from presets.
    • Alchemist house hired by your choice.
    • Smithing house hired by your choice.
    • Spare house, my home is your home or compatibility with Mirai mod to move Rena and Shin into a place on the premise.
    • Real barn, well, landscaping, gildegreen, apiaries, windmill and fish hatchery.
    • Larger garden and better
    • Hire NPCs through your travels through workbench. Options to choose from.
    • Craftable interior.
    • Attic in main house for bard, housecarl and steward.
    • Lower level in main cell for adoptions. Adopt any normally orphaned child through workbench and have them sandbox.
    • Displays similar to Windstad interior overhaul corrected based on feedback. Intention is to use base object for display for weapon effects and mod retextures.
    • All NPCs will need to meet certain conditions before you can hire them. IE Breylna cannot become your alchemist until you've completed all necessary quests, Carlotta cannot move in with Mila unless you've completed any associated quests or Camellia will not become your trader if you've not done her quests, Faendal will not move in with her unless you sided with him during Sven's "dispute".
    • No landscape changes just a lot of tedious placement.
    • Immersive and nothing out of the ordinary that shouldn't exist. Assets are all Vanilla.

    So far I've seen no compatibility issues and the exterior is completed and craftable. The interior and adoption / NPC hiring choices will take the majority of time. Note this will require Skyrim 1.6.640 and Unnoficial Skyrim Patch. It may require mannequins improved which means SKSE will be required but I have not decided on that yet.

      Update on Lakeview mod.

      Finished

      • Added some more exterior things. Everything exterior and their interiors are now completed. This took the majority of time.
      • Interior entryway, kitchen and armory are now completed.
      • Second level downstairs is almost finished. Second level includes an area for all workbenches, a chef bedroom, orphanage and a second armory.

      Things still needing completion

      • Extra armory downstairs
      • Attic addition for bard and steward bedrooms for both interior and exterior.
      • Bedrooms, library, enchanter room, alchemy room and mainhall rooms.
      • Display racks for special items. This one will take some time as I need to make a list of all the rare items in the base game / dlcs and the new creation kit stuff that comes with the 1.6.640 free creation club things and then find suitable locations for each. Very time consuming.
      • Add AI packages for all housecarls surrounding conditions that you've become thane and the housecarl is enabled in game.

      Things I am considering scrapping

      • NPCs store management in base game (Camilla Faendal etc.). This is definitely doable but time consuming and even more time consuming when patches need to be factored in. Some mods already edit the AI packages of NPCs I was intending to use and I've decided it's in the best interest to keep this mod with as little conflicts as possible with popular mods.
      • Adoption through recipes. Again, conflicts. The AI packages to have the kids be immersive would be an absolute pain. It is technically already possible to adopt all the children with Multiple Adoptions and My home is your home. Overall you'll have 9 extra children's beds to play around with.

      My goal is to have this done hopefully first few weeks of April as new games are coming out soon and I'm unsure if I'll find the time to wrap this up if said new games come out before it's completed.

    Has anyone came a cross the kids bed owned but yet didn't adopt children yet. its the room that split into two on the main floor

    The house is beautiful! But unfortunately after a few days my items are despawn in cupboards and barrels and the "garbage" that was there at the beginning is back in there. My things are all gone, lost.In the armory I put on the dolls, but after a few days the armor is gone and is in theDolls. They aren't gone, but I have to put the dolls back on. Can you help me there?

    Edit: It now seems to be working. It was definitely a mistake on my part. Thanks for this beautiful mod!

      How did you fix it? It does the same thing for me and I lose everything I have because of it.

    so I have an issue with certain displays. For example, the crown of barenziah: even though I found the crown and gave it to vex, no matter what I do it will always say "you lack the required item", even when I restarted the file before I gave it to vex. Is there something I'm missing?

    edit: So I used the console command to find the crown, and it looks like that I needed the item "Barenziah's Crown" instead of "Crown of Barenziah", which means the only way to get the pedestal to have the crown in the manor, you need to use console commands to get the crown.

    edit 2: Don't place anything in the house you plan on leaving in there for a long period of time, like on the displays. While it still shows that they are there on the displays, after a long period of time, the house interior will reset and you will lose the items you have on the displays (example: I had the wabbajack and the skull of corruption on the displays, as well as the vokun mask, and after thirty 30 or so, the house reset, and while it still shows the staffs on the display, I can no longer retrieve them as it says "you lack the required item" and the vokun mask had completely disappeared).

    Great Mod definitely needed some love for hearthfire.
    Just two things to enquire:
    1. If I am using the hearthfire extended patch and I build a vampire lair will a bunch of vampires spawn eg(heniel and luka)
    2. where does the enhanced entry way workbench spawn?

      1) I think only vampire guards and a Thrallmaster spawn on the house.  You purchase the guards from your Thrallmaster in the lair.

      2) It should spawn in the entryway.  Make sure you have remodeled the small house into an entryway (I've made this mistake before) and make sure the standard entryway bench is also active.  You should find it then.

    I dont hear the music and how do i get that wood walls you have?

      yeah, I was kind of hoping for the dark wood too. Perhaps that's included and I've just got something overriding the textures? Would be nice to know though, as there is no mention of a retexture in the description. Great overhaul regardless!

      Sorry for responding late, I'm not as active as I was due to life priorities.  I have the feeling that I possibly disabled the music or set a condition that can't be true, accidentally.

      The wood walls looking through my mods I believe belongs to Noble Skyrim Textures.  I am using the 2k variant.

    I'm feeling kinda stupid here... everything else is working but I can't find the overhaul workbench for the entryway.

      I had the same problem. A hack that worked was to pull up the console and type "help overhauled" to find the id for the overhauled interior workbench and used "player.placeatme (ItemID)" to make it appear (ideally in the center of the room so it doesn't get in the way of anything). Once you're done building just click it in the console and type disable.

      It's possible that you have not made the small house into the entryway.  So two things to try.

      1) Make sure you've remodeled the small house into the entryway through the architect table.
      2) Make sure the vanilla Entryway bench is enabled through the architect table.

    If you don't mind me asking why is this a Windstad exclusive and not just all three of the hearthfire house cells?

      They are all separate cells. The problem is SSE creation kit won't let me copy paste a large amount of objects without crashing the kit.  The mod itself takes weeks to place all the stuff and more weeks to test. Being that Lakeview has so many mods already, I decided to work on Windstad instead, and, I don't think many people use Heljarchen Hall.

      Personally I prefer Lakeview but I decided on Windstad as I really like the exterior mod available for it.

    Thanks for the Windstad love. Windstad Manor is my favorite home and always my home base, especially with Windstad exterior additions. Will definitely have a look at this mod in my next play though.
