Oldhollow Chalet is a simple home with some features few displays for weapons, shields & books. The Enchanting area is hidden behind a panel which can be opened with the chain in the kitchen. the bench under the weapon display functions as a bed and sitting area for followers. Blacksmithing is next to the weapon display case on the small cupboard.

I had a bit of a weird problem with the home I haven't encountered before. I was moving all my stuff in when I messed something up and went to reload my save. What happens is... I'm not sure how to describe it is... trying to save in the house doesn't work? It put the saves into the "all saves" section instead of under my character's name. Trying to reload that save crashed the game once and after that it just refused to save my game in the house again. It also then started putting my saves into a new save section that didn't appear under my character saves? Some weird batshittery only Bethesda games are capable of. I tested this to see if it was only in the house and this is what I found:
-Saving outside of the home with the mod installed stopped working after a few saves and gave the problems above.
-Saving inside the home did not work at all or put it into a new section that crashed when trying to load them.
-Uninstalling the mod entirely and restarting from a save prior to installing the mod made it save normally as usual.
-I cleaned out my saves folder to see if that was the problem. It didn't affect any of the above things.
I can get a list of my load order if that might help. I'm 99% sure this doesn't have anything to do with you but I wanted to let you know it happened because it's just such a bizarre bug I've never had with anything else before. On top of that this is so ultra specific and limited to one thing I figured it might be worth looking into. The house is still beautiful, though. Shame I can't use it right now.
Its strange you mention this bug as I had this issue last night, however i didn't have this home active at the time and i had to remove tk dodge for things to beable to save again. I'll do some troubleshooting to see if the home is related some how, never had this issue either. This home is extremely basic on terms of settings. Thanks for letting me know! Just a quick question, are you using vortex?
Having similar issue with this home regarding saves, and also the false panel won't open to the enchanter. The prompt shows up on the screen, but when I hit "E" nothing happens. I am using MO2, FYI. I will play with my load order and see if it changes anything... I recently installed several mods to check them out and that may be that I am pushing too much at once.
Been reoubleshooting the mod and I only thing different from most homes is the fact you can fast travel from inside option was enabled but that shouldnt cause any issues and I havent had the issue with this home enabled but I get the problem when I enable another mod TK dodge only ;/ So kinda lost at what to look at.
Ringmaster308: the panel opens by the chain in the kitchen.
Could you try disabling the fast travel option? I know it sounds silly but Bethesda games are capable of some bonkers issues over the most mundane things and it's worth a shot, even just to definitively rule it out. It's strange somebody else had this problem, too. I'm not a modder nor am I familiar with files for these games but it's probably something obscure and stupid that wouldn't be an issue acting up.
Yeah I plan to disable it, and yeah bethesda is known for pointless weird bugs, i'll probably do the update in a day or two as am in the middle of my current home project atm ;p
By any chance did you ever figure out what was causing the bug? Did you disable the fast travel setting and see if that worked? Also, I hope your home project went well! Home improvement repairs are always such a hassle.
For anyone having this issue, please see this article for a fix: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/5fvul2/underscores_in_cell_editor_ids_break_save_sorting/
But, you'll most likely have to do the standard check list to see whats up, try making a new save with ONLY my mod and see if you still have the same problem, if you do maybe redownload the mod see if that helps. if it works fine then try adding your mods back on one by one till you find out what the issue is.
It also could be a mod that effects the area, like a terrain mod, and it might be removing the Teleport marker causing the crash, if your using vortex try putting my mod on a late load order so it overwrites.
hm maybe, but there was another home i made some reported the same issue with only one bsa.. you can try, I would test it myself but I dont have skyrim or the creation kit installed anymore atm :/
So. It turns out I'm completely unable to save my game while inside the Chalet. I have never had such a problem. It literally won't save. Go to menu, system, save, manual save, nothing happens. Might want to check to be sure the inside cell has a location ID or name so the game can identify where you're saving, because that's the only possible thing I can't think of that would prevent saving from being possible.
This looks super nice. I will have to download it here soon.
I've seen that round door before, on a few mods, mainly Hobbiton from several years back on LE. I've also seen the interior items and textures, or at least something similar, before. I was wondering what they are from, because I would like to use them for my own player home mods, which I have several in progress currently.
This is delightful. I am - as others have said - in awe with how much you've managed to squeeze into such a tiny space. And there's even somewhere to chop wood! I do really like small homes like this. It's lovely! Thank you!
Well, in short the books shows the scene where the spiders capture the dwarfs differently then in the movie. Among the differences were; Bilbo luring the spiders away from the dwarfs by putting on the ring and calling them names while singing poems, among those names : Attercop ( an old English word for spider) and tomnoddy ( an old English word meaning essentially, moron) These insult's Bilbo used against the spider were both examples of Tolkien's sense of humor, and his knowledge of language (he did invent several working languages, some even while he was a child) It's a bit of an inside joke though, so there might not be that many people who get it but it did bring a smile to my face at any rate.
Thank you for such a small but cosy n warm looking home, hobbity entrance , loved how it built into land rack wall.. Btw I let the spider live, I'm half deaf but could still hear the spiders footsteps, but didn't bother me ... Erm just inside the door, as I read in description or screenshot, there was a bench type bed, but I couldn't interact with it , ? The area with enchanting table , can be used thru the door / false panel without pulling the chain to open it , But over all ir a very nice comfy home, that I was just trying out, Thank you Endorsed Kudo'd Tracking
so far 3 spider murders and 3 people let the little bugger live ;p Thank you, glade you like the home! the bench/bed on the left works fine for NPC/followers I just forgot to add players beable to use it, which i will fix in a update as its a simple fix of ticking a box. enchanting activate box does need adjusting which I will adress.
