Anyone else having an issue where they don't eat the spell tome but also don't learn the spell? I tried installing the example file but it's not working for me still.
Sadly this mod does not work for the latest version, or at least it never does for me. Could anyone suggest an alternative mod that prevents tomes from being destroyed?
I would like to ask for a new question to be added to the F.A.Q.:
" Q: Do I need to install the example mod? A: Only if you don't have another mod that needs this one already. This mod provides the functionality for a variety of other mods but does not itself change spell tome functionality. The "example" plugin illustrates the API's functionality and will conflict with other mods that change how the player interacts with spell tomes. In short, you don't need to install the example if another mod's requirements directed you here. "
I recently updated my game and had to reinstall this mod, among others. The example got installed, too, and I was dealing with some strange functionality for a while as it conflicted with a mod using the API. This F.A.Q. entry would help direct users to the correct installation. Myself as well, should I need to reinstall in future.
My thanks to the author for all the effort put into this mod. I like it precisely because I can keep a spell tome library.

I could read spell tomes but I didn't get the spell itself :(
thanks anyway
1. Install the .esp that comes along with the mod in FOMOD when you install this mod.
OR
2. Get Immersive Spell Tomes (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21078). It's an older mod but some old mods still work!
