PATCH CREATED BY USERS: CinnaMewRoll
Compatbilitity patch between your Feline Movement Animations for Khajiit Only and Dynamic Sprint so the on-fours sprint anim won't be overwritten by the latter ingame.
You want this to work on custom Khajit races, take a look at any of this mods Moonlilia mod for khajiit races Custom Races - Patch Collection or the Shunderedere mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/105872
LE LINK https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/101990?tab=posts&BH=0
doesn't work I tried all combination of the normal version, KISS animation version, DAR 1.1.3 and even an older DAR 1.1 I have Special Edition and only have 18 mods
Honestly, I don't know how you expect me to guess the reason why the mod is not working for you without any information, but I'm about 90% sure that the issue lies in the same comment you posted.
And, as always, the problem is not with my mod, but with the incorrect installation of DAR or OAR. How do I know this?
Firstly, because version 1.1.3 of DAR only works with AE, which means Skyrim version 1.6.629 or higher. I don't know why on earth you're installing a DAR version that is incompatible with your game version, which I understand is SE, an older version of the game. You shouldn't randomly install DAR versions; you need to check which DAR version is compatible with your Skyrim version.
(Or use OAR, Open Animation Replacer, which is an updated version of DAR).
Now that you know the correct version, you must have all the DAR requirements installed, namely SKSE and Address Library for SKSE Plugins. If you don't, DAR probably won't work for you.
In conclusion, install DAR properly and make sure it's correctly set up. You could also try installing Open Animation Replacer, which is compatible with DAR mods and has backward compatibility.
Now, once you've verified that it's installed correctly, comes the question: Is it just my mod that isn't working, or are there other DAR mods in your load that don't work?
If the answer is that no DAR mods are functioning, the problem is simply that you installed DAR incorrectly.
If it's only my mod that doesn't work and other DAR mods are working, it's likely an incompatibility with another DAR mod you have installed that either 1. is overwriting my conditions folder or 2. has animations with higher priority than mine.
If this is the case, open the mod and find the folder with a number, and raise the priority like this: just raise the number of the folder from 2300 to 230000 or another number like this. This means my animations will have priority over other DAR animations.
For people who use Project ja-Kha'jay- Khajiit NPC Diversity Overhaul !!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want new races to have feline animations so for example, small JZargo runs like a cat, you must edit your _conditions.txt file inside feline movement folders.. Instead of original 3 lines, replace whole text with this (I included 9 new races from JKJ): IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00013745) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00088845) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE009938) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE009807) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE009942) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE009809) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE009805) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE0098C4) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE009806) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE00980A) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE009815) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0xFE009808) AND NOT IsWeaponDrawn() (First two are original Khajiit and Vampire Khajiit... if you use werewolf version you might rather pick all the lines that contain 0xFE and insert them in your conditions, just to be sure you don't delete anything)
Hope it helps someone, if you're a modder feel free to use this as an optional patch in installation :) but if you mention fix was made by vollukas I'll be very happy :D
(ironically enough, i HAD this working with yami neko a few years ago, but had to start my build over from scratch, so i know it can be done)
I have it working already with khajiits and werewolfs in human form so i know there is no issue with the animations.
I attempted to use the same method(s) used in both moonlilia's and shunderedere's patch and it did not work.
this is what my _conditions.txt looks like in the 2300 folder:
IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00013745) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00088845) OR IsRace("YamiNeko.esp"|0x1E000D61) OR IsRace("YamiNeko.esp"|0x1E00D37F) OR IsInFaction("Skyrim.esm"|0x00091822) OR HasKeyword("RaceCompatibility.esm"|0x001d8c) AND NOT IsWeaponDrawn()
Any advice, or help greatly appreciated
TIA, gunther
EDIT: ok i Have discovered that when I add the yamineko condition to the _conditions.txt, it breaks all the conditions (even though there are OR operators between them so that makes no sense) so if I remove the yami neko conditions, it works as intended, and when I add them (I triple checked the IDs using the console to make sure they are accurate, and I check after every mod install in case LOOT changes the order).
so this works for khajiits: IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00013745) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00088845) AND NOT IsWeaponDrawn()
and this does not work at all (XX is just a placeholder for the yami neko mod order in my list cause it keeps changing, right now it is at 4C): IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00013745) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00088845) OR IsRace("YamiNeko.esp"|0xXX000D61) OR IsRace("YamiNeko.esp"|0xXX00D37F) AND NOT IsWeaponDrawn()
I do not understand why adding the yami neko condition breaks it for khajiits as well
Again, if anyone can offer assistance, i would be very greatful. I imagine i am missing something small but obvious to someone else.
EDIT 2:
Apparently, the first two characters of the race id need to left as 00, NOT changed to the mod index. Once I made that change, it is now working for all races that I want it to.
You need to adjust the condition to apply to that specific race. IsRace("XXXX.esp"|XxXXXXXXXX) In the first part of XXX.esp: You designate it as the lyaidos ESP file name. For the other XXXXX after the |, you locate the ID of that race and make the necessary changes accordingly.
Finally got it working for Serval Khajiit SSE (_conditions.txt): IsRace("Serval Khajiit Race.esp"|0x000D62) OR IsRace("Serval Khajiit Race.esp"|0x000D63) or IsRace("Serval Khajiit Race.esp"|0x000D62) OR IsRace("Serval Khajiit Race.esp"|0x000D63) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00013745) OR IsRace("Skyrim.esm"|0x00088845) if you want for normal khajiits too.
For some reason it didn't like AND NOT IsWeaponDrawn() so I had to remove it, otherwise it wouldn't work at all (maybe due to custom race), didn't break anything though.
Crawling animation with weapon doesn't look too bad, and sprinting with weapon drawn automatically doesn't play the animation. That also means, that khajiit bandits won't rush to you on fours (unless they are unarmed), so this effectively causes them to use vanilla (or other mod) animation.
UPD: figured it out, I had an outdated DAR version which didn't have the function yet.
I recomend you to leave the IsWeaponDrawn() in the text file. Unless you want a Crazy arm bug that this mod had in a older version. The arm will move crazy when you have a 1handed weapon out but you have free left hand. Thats the only reason of that condition.
And of course have DAR up to date, its very important.
Anyway kudos for your ahivementent. I personally using only the meshes in race menu, but its a great mod anyway.
I opted for OAR since it was suggested in the comments and now I can see the crawling animation when I sneak! Your scripts also helped me to get it to work, I was trying for HOURS, thank you!!!
Still, the sprinting won't work, weirdly enough.
EDIT: I NEVER KNEW SPRINTING WAS DIFFERENT THAN RUNNING LMAO, it works!!! Also definitely use the code at the end AND NOT IsWeaponDrawn()
Hello, I love this mod, but i can't make it work. I have UNDERDOG Animations (wich use DAR) and Imperious race of skyrim installed. Does Imperious conflict with your mod as it (maybe, i am not sure) change the "normal" race ? How do i set the DAR animation priority of your mod higher than the underdog one ?
1. Does Imperious conflict with your mod as it (maybe, i am not sure) change the "normal" race ? Dont know, i suppose because that mod edits races. But dont know for sure. 2. And for your second question... From DAR page. <Priority> is a decimal number excluding 0 in the range of -2147483648 to 2147483647. The higher the number, the higher the priority. Assignments that depend on ActorBase mentioned above have a priority 0.
So change my mod folder names for something above the maximun number provided by that mod. For example if the name of my folder is 100 and underdog is 200, change mine for 201. I think this should work for you
This solution worked here too. I renamed the Feline Animations folder to 2000000090, and now it's working just fine with Underdog (that comes with Nolvus). Thanks! Way more fun to play with Khajiit now.
Should this affect M'aiq who is always randomly running somewhere along the roads? Just realized i've bumped into him a few times but he's always been running upright
Maybe his appearance replace from Project ja-Kha'jay is messing with the animation ..
My mod affects all Khajiits, whether they are vanilla or Vampire Khajiits, as it utilizes the RACE ID to identify the race and apply the animations. Mods that edit the vanilla race will NOT work with this, as they have a different ID.
FOR THOSE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THIS MOD Ok, I just fixed the "non working" issue Just get rid of Dynamic Animation Replacer and install Open Animation Replacer Will not work if you have OTHER running animations in the list Love this mod BTW <3
that didn't work for me either. Idk what I'm doing wrong but I've watched videos on how to install DAR properly, and placed the feline animation mod into the correct DAR mesh files, and it doesn't seem to work. Any other suggestions?
Hi, in regards: KISS animation Style there is the statement: "Same as the main file. But using Kiss set of animations (the one in the video)" BUT which one of them? I can not figure out.
Not sure what's causing this but my character seems to use every other feline animation other than the sprinting. I don't have anything changing the sprint animation other than this. I downloaded the "Feline Animations for Werewolf" file.
