Version 2.0 adds the Solstheim map textures. This simple map has 3 versions: Blank, single marker, and multiple markers. The original textures were only 1K and 512KB in size. Even though it's a rather crude map, it still deserved a little more detail to fit with the other maps in game.
I received a number of requests to port this mod to SSE, so here it is. Let it not be said that I never listen to my audience. ;)
I took the opportunity to update the textures to BC7 compression, so you should see them in all their detailed glory now. Personally, I suggest the 4K version, but I gave options for those with limited VRAM. The vanilla is 1K, which is not sufficient in my opinion. You need at least 2K to pack any meaningful detail into a large map.
Feel free to also include textures for the three dragonmap files and two dragonparchment files in textures\clutter\dragonmap. There's a mesh for the latter in meshes\clutter\dragonmap.
If you are in the mood and have inspirations, in the folder "data/textures/clutter/quest/" are two more maps "reachmenmap01.dds" and the "tgshippingmap.dds" that could use some of your magic.
Question: Will the Legendary Version of Rustic Maps get an update too ?
Dark magic at work here. Just yesterday, I was working on an interior using one of these maps as a decoration and noticing the resolution wasn't particularly high. This resolves that problem and looks fantastic. Great work Gamwich, as always!
