I just wanted to comment that I'm absolutely loving this mod on my mage playthrough. It's giving me an actual reason to carry around a back up staff and a cache of scrolls.
it is great for pure mage, thoo msot of the time the skyrim characters are dual specialized or tri specialized ( 1h magic / bow); shield magic/ 2 hand, etc
I have been considering offering an alternative .esp where instead Concentration would be an either hand Spell instead of requiring both hands to use - might offer more leeway for half-builds.
could also be a shout with long shout time (3,33 seconds?) for each word and 10 sec cooldown, each word shout giving back a 15 % of total mana + 17 base ( so its good for big mana pool but worthy for low pool too)
so after shouting 10 seconds non stop you regen 45% mana + 51, for 100 base pool you get 96 mana, for 200 it's 141, for 300 186, for 1000 501...
its balanced cuz there is a cooldown for shouting so u cant use other shouts too, you need to stay still concentrating for while and also stressfull because you would want to shout all words in fight to maximize the recovery. and it works for all builds, could resplenish stamina too at half ratio
and anyway there is alchemy and potion in almost unlimited amount.... somehow its very dbz-like when the character resplenish strengh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cmCDn-wh4E add a small damage buff when the full shout is done lol.
I like this quite a bit. It synergizes pretty well with something like Sustained Magic, and strongly incentivizes heavy investment in magicka.
Flavor-wise I also like how there's a moment of quiet contemplation at the end of a battle to 'recharge' yourself. The fact that it's a concentration type spell makes this feel a little better than say Wintersun's prayer to Magnus, as it feels like, well... active concentration, rather than sitting and waiting for the bar to fill.
If you decide to add on to this, I'd love to see some alternate styles, such as using the pray or Greybeard meditate animations, or some form of stationary meditation for faster regen.
If I ever get around to some addendum system ideas such as you describe, I'll be sure to take these thoughts into consideration... though for now I'm pretty happy with the simplistic yet overarching application of the simple spell.
Have gone a bit further in my playthrough with this, with some tweaks (hadn't seen your new upload). I edited the spell to be left-hand only, with an additional 1-magnitude healing effect (so it gets the healing SFX). Also changed the multiplier to 2.0 in the config file.
Said this already, but I've been having a blast with this. It's surprising how much of a difference it makes to the feel and pacing of spellsword combat. Active mana conservation is a thing, and having to take a moment to recharge mana after battle is so very satisfying. At 2.0 regen it also makes mid-combat recharging risky but situationally viable.
As far as I know it should work out well with anything that affects regeneration, it would simply only apply when you're casting Concentration. Consider that the system works by simply pausing passive regeneration until you cast Concentration - and the potential systems it affects falls into place from there.

what happens with +/- mana regen effects from enchantments and standing stones?
I'm also wondering about the whole vancian magic build from ordinator, how that plays out hm
