      Open skse64.log in <Documents>\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\. What it say about gamepadevents.dll ?
Did you have same issue with 1.4.6 ?

I've run into the same issue with the xbox one controller. Last version I could move the stick to get out of bed, with this latest version I have to disconnect the controller and use the keyboard to get up. I searched my skse64.log file for any entries with gamepadevents.dll but none could be found.

Does it matter which order the hunter born patch and main file esps load in? Apparently I didn't realize Hunterborn patch was loading higher up in order than the main file and it;s in several hours of game play that way now. Although I haven;t used the hunterborn bedding yet to know if it did anything. Not sure if it would be worse to change it now or leave it like it is. But also don't know if it matters either.

Order doesn't matter for hunterborn patch. It has hunterborn as master, but it doesn't edit any its records.

Just updated to 1_5_73 last night, installed new SKSE, SSE fixes, SSE engine fixes, and Papyrus Util, and finally the newest version of this. Seems to work so far. I haven't noticed any hiccups that I haven't seen before.

You don't need SSE Fixes if you already have Engine Fixes installed....SSE fixes gets canceled by it anyways....

I can't find it now but I think I remember a post either in SSE Fixes or SSE Engine Fixes where the author of one of the mods said they would both work together that it both were installed SSE Engine Fixes would defer to SSE Fixes for what that mod does, while also doing the additional things that SSE Engine Fixes does that SSE Fixes does not.
Some people though that worked better than just SSE Engine Fixes by itself (I haven't really tested it both ways). But since SSE Engine Fixes apparently does everything SSE Fixes does an more, you should be able to get by with just SSE Engine Fixes.

Yeah, I wasn't sure, so I went through the comments on both mods and seemed like it would be relatively risk-free, so I gave it a shot. One less mod to use sounds good. Thank you both.

Doesn't controller work to get up from a bed? Using version 1.4.6 and SKSE 2.0.12, changing gamepadevents.ini makes no difference either. It does work perfectly fine if I enter the main menu and disable controller and instead use a mouse and keyboard.

Unfortunately the hotfix did nothing. I can only get out of bed using mouse and keyboard. And I no longer have an earlier version of the mod which I believe was 1.3.0.X, (or 1.4.0) but I remember it working with controllers though.

You can install 1.4.5, it doesn't have latest changes, which cause this controller issue.
This is strange, that hotfix don't help. I found one bug, which could be guilty.
It doesn't work even if you hold movement stick for several seconds ?

I tried holding the movement stick for more than 1 minute but I could not get out of bed. However, the 1.4.5 version worked perfectly, so controller works with the older version.

I forgot to say that if you toggled controller in game menu you will need to restart game for changes to take effect.

Isabellesbells, thanks for reply. Looks like it work different with different types of controllers. I have emulator, and it work nearly instantly. Unfortunately I don't have real controller and I can't test it.

It works for me now too with the latest path. But I think it might have to do with me switching from my XBOX one controller to my PS4 one instead and enabling that controller in STEAM. I also now get the menu that ask if I want to get up out of the bed or sleep. Before this that menu never showed up.

@LilithFM, what skse you have ? If you use skse 2.0.12, then you need "SKSE 2.0.8-2.0.12 Patch". Also hotfix from 1.4.6 is not needed any more.

Hi, This mod doesn't seem to work since the updates to skyrim and skse. When you go to lie down it asks if you want to lie down and then does nothing. Not sure if you were aware of this.

This has been resolved for me. After FISSES (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13956) was updated, it worked.

I'm still getting the same problem even with the updated FISSES installed; with one exception.

I tried going to bed at the Bannered Mare, at Breezehome (by Lupus) and at Rayek's End. All of them gave me the same reaction; the option to lie down and it did nothing. HOWEVER, if I go to the (Creation Club) Tundra Homestead, the bed works in the traditional manner (I can select sleep but there is no visual). Now, to make things more interesting, I swapped out the bed at Rayek's End with the bed from the Tundra Homestead, and I could sleep (in the normal way without the visual).

      ? ? ? ? ? ?

Update to 1.4.7. But make "clean save" first, if mod currently doesn't work (no animations, MCM doesn't open). There was bug in 1.4.6, that cause main script to stuck if you don't have skse or have unsupported skse version.

I'm considering this mod, but need to know since I don't see it mentioned in compatibility notes. Is this compatible with Campfire+Frostfall? Campfire has sleep animations to the beds in it's tents. I'd like to be able to lay down in other bed types besides the tent but still be able to use the animations the tents provide when in them.

Well, it will work exactly in that way. Campfire bedroll will use its own animations. I attempted to make Campfire bedrolls to work like common bedroll, but it will need too many changes, so I left it as is.
