++ENGLISH Installation: Step 1.- Download Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM 2.08. Extract with 7-Zip, WinRAR, WinZip or other similar program. You will get 1 directory with the mod files. Step 2.- Download this optimization. Extract. You will get 1 folder with directories and files similar to the one in Step 1. Select all. Copy and replace in the folder obtained in Step 1. Step 3.- Compress the folder: updated mod. You can now install it with Mod Organizer 2 or any mod installer.
Difficulties discovered (not caused by this modification): 1.- Mod Organizer 2: You can ignore the warnings described in the "Log" tab during installation. The mod works correctly despite the error warning in the FOMOD. 2.- Mod Organizer 2 and WinRAR: Pop-up window with error warning when trying to extract. Solution: Move the mod to a directory less distant from the root directory. The downloads folder works for me. But if it is not enough, store in a new root directory with the name "Mods Skyrim SE" (or whatever name). Example 1: C:\Root directory\ Mod C:\Mods Skyrim SE\ Brumbek Static Mesh Improvement Mod -SMIM 2.08.7z Example 2: C:\Root directory\Subdirectory\Mod C:\Mods Skyrim SE\Graphics\Brumbek Static Mesh Improvement Mod -SMIM 2.08.7z

Hey, i extract your file. I have now a folder with a supfolder named data. In this folder are 2 supfolder named meshes and textures. What i must copy? Greetings from germany
Hallo! Let me explain: You should download original mod and unpack the archive in any folder, for example in "SMIM - Optimized". When you unpacked it, you should see something like this:
Then you download this mod and unpack archive in that folder "SMIM - Optimized" overwriting files when asked. And then you just pack this "SMIM - Optimized" folder into archive and install it with mod manager!
Not sure what's going on, but looking at specific textures, like bundles of sticks, tanks my FPS with this mod. The textures being on screen is fine: this only happens when the textures are beneath my crosshair.
Thanks for the great mod!!! But I can't figure out exactly which file in this mod should be overwritten if I choose "Install All" in SMIM. If possible, please tell me which file should be overwritten
I also believed it when doing tests. But it used more than 200 modifications. Those resources were probably occupied by other modifications, and for that reason it was not reflected in the numbers. I think it is still useful for computers with integrated graphics. I will hurry to create a 2k version for which we have a little more powerful graphics… if there are textures with a resolution higher than 2k. I must check.
Understood. It was very hard to tell the difference in quality between the pictures to see which one was which... which means that your compressions are very good!
I don't think that I need to drop to 1k files for my machine, but if you get around to the 2k levels (that's what I run in my game), I would be very interested in this. The BC7 compression seems to do very well.

It seems that all GPU memory usages drop by a mere 50MB (except once where it actually gained).
But there is, on average, about 500MB more system RAM used?
I must be reading something wrong here, yes? Perhaps the images are reversed?
