A few people have pointed out that you can clear the stored spell without this mod, and this is in Ordinator's changelog. This is actually true. I've done a bit of testing and I believe the conditions are:
In combat OR
Casting an ineligible spell (concentration, ground target, or self-target) with your right hand or dual-casting.
If you're casting an ineligible spell with your left hand, or not-dual-casting an eligible spell, this doesn't clear the stored spell. You must get a message about not being able to store the the type of spell, or not being able to use the power in combat for the spell to be cleared. If you get any other message (must be dual-casting, cannot store this spell, cannot store ritual spells) then the spell isn't cleared.
I must admit I didn't spot this in the changelog. I did find a Reddit article that Mur3s4me mentioned, and found some references to disabling spellscribe in Ordinator's files, but when I tried it with console commands it didn't work (to be expected, as a feature that wasn't completed). I tried a couple of things in-game as well, such as casting the power while not casting a spell, to no avail, but didn't try the above conditions.
Anyway, I think my method is more obvious than others, and gives you feedback so you know what's happened. I'll see about updating this mod to specifically post the unbinding message in the other cases as well, and maybe remove the requirement to have something equipped in your right hand.
I applaud your efforts; although unless I'm very gravely mistaken, you can already unbind Spellscribe by just using the power when not dual casting by default - without needing to have a weapon equipped.
Pretty sure you are mistaken unless Enai actually chose to do it in the 3 years that passed where he said this: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/5c3p54/ordinator_perk_help_spellscribe/d9torrw?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3
Enai is talking about a toggle there; a method to temporarily have it not trigger. He's not talking about clearing and then having to set it up again afterwards; that's already possible. I was mistaken in one part, though: You need to actually dual cast a spell that won't work with Spellscribe, for it to clear. Doing so with empty hands or a weapon equipped won't work.
Thanks for the correction! And reading the sticky post, seems like the official way is a bit weird to do but at least possible. Still, this is a nice mod to accompany it if people want this option
in the change logs of ordinator as of Version 8.13SSE Spellscribe: using the power incorrectly will now clear the stored spell. confirming what Mur4s4me said
That would actually be contradicting what Mur4s4me said; not confirming it.
Anyway; I've just tested it and found I was partially wrong. The only way to clear it normally is trying to store a spell that's not eligible for Spellscribe (e.g. a concentration spell).
