hello, I noticed that the Orc Strongholds Use Orchish mod just conflicted with apparent change mods for npcs. If the Orc Strongholds Use Orchish mod has a higher priority than appearance mods in pliguins, the appearance of Female Orcs stay Vanilla.
Hi! first to all nice mod i was searching for something like this but i have a questions ¿is normal to see orchish armor in bandits orc? i see this and i think is rare
Hey there! Thanks for this, been a staple in my load order for a while now. I did want to report that I was experiencing some crashes near Cracked Tusk Keep and narrowed it down to this mod. It looks like you deleted a couple of vanilla references. I ran it through SSEEdit's Undelete and Disable cleaning workflow and no more crashes for me
Thanks for the callout, this let me know to pre-emptively run xEdit's Undelete and Disable script to hopefully avoid a CTD down the road. I checked out four strongholds in-game and the orcs were indeed wearing either this armor or bandit furs (possibly due to another gear distribution mod I'm running). Happy with the result!
Does not touch those orcs as they are quest orcs so it may break something plus they are not really modern orcs as they are in a flashback but it would be a cool idea if it can be done without breaking that quest.
The plans to add a optional file for alt orc armors would not really be for this mod, as its just trying to make orcs more orc-like. for anyone wanting redone orc armors they should look for those.
I always thought it was strange that the Orc Strongholds all wore fur armor. They're Orcs! They should reflect how awesome they! But hey, it's Bethesda lol
Also if you haven't flagged these as ESL yet, you can do so in SSEEdit so long as your scripts aren't fully unique and new like a Left-Handed rings mod in which case, flagging them as ESL wouldn't be possible.
There are guides for it, it's actually pretty quick and doesn't require full re-writes or anything, but the system will tell if you flagging them as ESL is possible or not.
The unfortunate reason is likely "We don't want them to have such strong gear, but we don't wanna make orc styled armors for fur, hide, leather, iron, etc. Not even one, nope." no orcish furs, no orcish clothes, no anything beyond orichalcum, and only one set. Ugh.
Those will just be whatever vanilla gave them. but in the future I can make cracked tusk orcs have orchish as well if enough people second this idea. it can be either in this mod or a separate, cracked tusk orcs have orchish mod.
Also those orcs classify as bandits, not a stronghold if I remember correctly

Any plans on adding an optional file to include the 2 Orcish Alternative Armor sets from the Creation Club?
