Description

Key info is in the YouTube video above - just watch that if you don't want to read all this...

This mod does what it says on the tin - immersively pick up random junk items and use them as weapons. You can use them temporarily and they'll have a short boost, or keep them as your main weapons - temper and enchant them like any other weapon.

Use the crafting system for some wacky combinations!

Please endorse if you like or use this mod!

Main Features
  • Immersively pick up over 150+ misc and static items to use as weapons
  • Junk Brawler mode gives you a boost to damage for approx 10sec after picking up and using weaponized junk items
  • Some furniture items can also be weaponized (and hit harder)
  • Some items have a chance to break on hit or block, but can be reinforced at the forge to stop breakage
  • Some items are fragile and will instantly break on hit or block, but have an extra knockback effect, and can be reinforced at the forge to stop breakage
  • Doesn't change any items in the world or require conversion spells like some similar mods do
  • Lightweight, install & remove any time
  • Choose which features you want to use in the settings power / book

Things to note
  • Furniture and big items are reset upon exiting the cell - tiny script fragments will run until you exit cell. This is done avoid bloating saves or corrupting cells as there is no other reliable reset function for static objects.
  • Furniture and big items cannot be sheathed & kept in inventory - they will be placed back on the ground
  • Containers cannot be picked up - barrels and crates that are lootable cannot be weaponized
  • NPCs won't weaponized items, but they can equip & use weaponized items if you give them to them, or if they're dropped on the ground
  • Breakable weapons cannot be tempered or enchanted until they are reinforced at the forge
  • Forge category includes wood since it's usually almost empty and it's difficult to define a new category without clashing with other mods
  • Certain breakable items will bust into pieces on the ground, using matching textures from your installed texture packs
  • Some pots, urns, jugs seem weird upside-down but that's how you would actually wield them as a weapon for max grip and swing
  • Breaking Items does bonus damage based on character level and also staggers
  • Your smithing skill boosts junk brawler damage based on what materials you can theoretically smith/craft
  • Junk weapon damage will scale up based on character level and what weapons drop / appear in game at the time
  • I may need to tune some some damage numbers for balancing
  • I may need to tune some of the sounds and impact sets
  • Currently only vanilla items and assets are supported - new junk, chairs, etc from other mods will require more work and permission from mod authors to use their assets

Requirements & Compatibility
  • Requires Hearthfire, Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLCs (which are included in Special Edition and Legendary Edition)
  • No known clashes with other mods

FAQ/How to use this mod

Q. How do I start using the mod?
A. Just install it and picking up suitable items will convert them to weapons.

Q. How do I pick up chairs and other cool stuff?
A. There is a power you can cast, or just briefly look down and sneak with your weapons drawn - assuming you haven't disabled the options.

Q. But what if I don't want all these features?
A. Then disable what you don't want in the settings power / book.

Some of the weapon meshes and textures are from Static Mesh Improvement Mod - which is an amazing mod that everyone should be using.
