If upgrading from v1.0 to version 1.0a you NEED to create a clean save first. Disable the mod Load game then save Enable new version.
Otherwise it will break your save!
You will need to re-aquire the bow and will lose any custom enchantments or upgrades. Small price to pay to have it as an .esl and save room for more mod goodness.
I will be making a bow specifically for Dragonbone later. in fact I intend to remake all the bows in game with replacers as well as unique single item releases. This one is the wooden longbow replacer. Forsworn, elven, Hunter, imperial, and ebony are also done finalizing textures For Nord hero, draugr, and drain spell bows right now. then I will move probably to Orcish patience dragonbone is on the to do list :)
An option you could provide is an ESL version? In this specific case it is just a quick setting of the ESL flag since the IDs are already in the right range. That way it won't even take an ESP slot in people's load order. Of course it is a simple thing for users to do themselves if they know.

This is another absolute beauty of a bow. I didn't realise until yesterday that you'd done other mods so I've got some more treats in store for me! I always player as an archer and I've always thought that bows in Skyrim are never as exciting as swords - until now! Thank you! Here is another fan to add to your collection! :-) Endorsed.

That’s kinda what I am working on. i already have replacers for Elven (Tauriel’s bow), Forsworn (eagle bow), Hunters bow (Bow of the Hunter), Imperial Bow (iron bow from IWBW), and Wooden Longbow (Dragon Bow).

Basically this is for my game since I play mostly a ranger/archer. I wanted better arrows so I made them. Now I want better Bows. I am making those too :)
Yes! Choosing will become even more difficult in the weeks to come. I currently have Lothlorien, Bow of the Hunt and Eagle Bow in my inventory, all favorited with Eagle Bow as my hot key main weapon. I'm using a pair of Tauriel's Daggers for my melee back up. After we finally head out to drop off the lexicon in Avanchndzel for that crazy lizard lady, From Deepest Fathoms, we'll be venturing forth to a lonely Dwemer tower in the Reach known as Reachwind Eyrie to collect Dragon Bow

Is choosing now more or less difficult, questions over questions:) But something without question, adventure in a beautiful landscape is one of the great thing in the Skyrim, made possible through all the modders around the world.
Well, there is another on my computer as I write this. Brand new model waiting on a unique texture I will be creating over the next few days. So yes. Expect more bows from me.

There is a tool called CAO https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23316 and with the creation kid you can convert the mod, it's not so difficult.

small thing: in the files it is .esp but in CK it is flagged as a master file. Is this intentional?
