If upgrading from v1.0 to version 1.0a you NEED to create a clean save first. Disable the mod Load game then save Enable new version.
Otherwise it will break your save!
You will need to re-aquire the bow and will lose any custom enchantments or upgrades. Small price to pay to have it as an .esl and save room for more mod goodness.
It’s based on a Mongolian composite. The Mongols shot from horseback so needed a more compact bow design. They layered horn, sinew, and wood to make an extremely springy limb in a small size. They also incorporated the cantilevered ear into the design to get more force in the string much like a lever. Truly an engineering marvel for the time. they also put the arrow on the right side of the bow not the left and used a ring to hold the string instead of the two fingered left side European style. Yes I learned a LOT about bow design and history making these thanks to my friend PhatBassAnchor who shared his knowledge. Glad you like it. :)

I find it rather incredible the Mongols figured out how to make a bow by laminating horn and sinew because they didn’t have easy access to wood. I also find it amazing they used a lever design at the ends to increase its power while keeping it compact enough to fire from horseback. So this design is an engineering marvel to me for the time period it was made in. I’ve always liked archery but never knew many of the things I am learning now that I am attempting to create realistic bows for Skyrim. Enough ramble. Glad you like them. :)
Beauteful The model would be cool for the Bow of the Hunt, that can be found in a cave. I always thought it was a shame that it was so Normal next to Froki's bow. Maybe someone will change that in a mod. I like Bow's but the Model's in Skyrim are hm,.... so it is fine any make new bows, we have so many shields and swords but Bows,...hm... or it is 2020 Bows. :) Thanky 4 it.
Fyi if you are using the replacer file for Hunters Bow it will replace the model for the Bow of the Hunt in the cave you speak of as well as every other hunters bow in game. The next model I am doing is a longbow to replace the wooden longbow in game. Very basic bow but could use a model and texture upgrade as well as better rigging for a more natural curve during draw. this would replace Froki’s and Dravin’s bows if you use the replacer I will make for that model. basically I am giving all the bows in game a facelift for my own game. One at a time. i plan on doing both unique item as well as replacer type mods for the new models and textures so people can choose how they would like them in their game.
