Hello! Quick review and 'hacks' for people who are tired of getting staggered too often or have mods that add enemies, like me:
If you go into the mod's ESP in the CK, you'll see Player Stagger effects that vary from stagger on any hit - > stagger only on big hits. I didn't feel like Getting Good, so I deleted the articles which only cause stagger on normal hits for me, and left all NPC quests alone. Now my character can take little strikes without flinching while still having to dodge/counter death blows and other large strikes.
This is very useful when playing through mod added or vanilla or locations with large amount of enemies(Crypts, OBIS bandits, Rigmor quests), or against special bosses that have other special effects to watch out for without worrying about regular stab (Vigilant, AAE, Darkend, Sinister Seven).
Thank you Inpa for your hard work and for making Skyrim fun to play again. Very good mod! Makes combat rewarding.
Hey there, thanks I was sure something like this would be possible. Could you please tell me/us which of the zzzSekiro_stagger articles you've deleted to get the desired effect? Thanks in advance!
Sekiro player stagger under 'Spells', checking info and then making sure that references to its usage were also deleted. I still have the stagger_main_huge spell.
Hello, after playing with this mod for a while i noticed a pretty bad bug that happens when using "Shinobi Execution: VioLens / Increase Damage" , after executing and doing that animation that my game would lag very bad and freeze, sort of like 2-3 fps, reloading the save does not help, all i can do is restart the game and it will be normal again. any idea what could cause that to happen to me? for combat i am only using this + CGO
Do you recommend any particular animations for combat to go with this mod? Vanilla ones are kind of derpy and stupid looking but overall, i think vanilla animations aren't quite accurate even when using "re-timed hit frame" enabled
How do I activate the shinobi execution when breaking the opponents poise? In the video it says "optical mouse click" what does that mean? I've tried attacking, power attacking, but I can't figure out how to get the animation and execution to trigger. If someone could help, highly appreciatted :) I have all requirement mods, and loaded the presets in all the mods needed, still no finishing execution
After playing a while i feel this mod is really nice and highly completed, the system is very nice and almost same as Sekiro. the NPC and player's parry particle effect and the reflecting magic effect, also the UI ,they are all wonderful. But i really think the stagger and knock out system is not suitable for skyrim. At least please make a switch to turn off stagger and knock out system pleeeease.
here is what i have encounted:
Npc always make me stagger with one hit,but the stagger immunity seems not working...so the combat pacing is really interrupted but the stagger.
Also i found out that when enemy hit me while i am doing a attacking,my attacking animation stopped and then stagger.but when I hit enemys during they performing a attack, they will still finishing the attacking animation.so then I still got hit and then stagger. this feels kinda weird...
If the parrying is successful, you enters the state of 'stagger immunity' for a short time (Also the stagger immunity time is applied differently for each weapon held).
AI Bash spaming - - It is the best combat mod ever. Yet, why the enemies can bash me tons of time within a second?... I hardly can approach them in melee fight. Example video: https://youtu.be/GlDXEZc4XkA
Also, the UI only can show maximum first 5 digits of your amount of money.
Is there a way to disable the sneak attack from this mod? I have sneak tools that helps me instantly kill an enemy when undetected. But, Since I used this mod it only damages the enemy's health by half when I sneak up on them.
It has nothing to do with skill. If there at any point you get surrounded by 3 NPCs, you literally have no time to do anything but stagger or block. The moment you let go of block, stagger central.
I think people need to understand that this isn't Sekiro. And this mod tries, but it's still built in Skyrim's engine. Staggering is a 2 second, uninterruptible animation, so making it so that EVERY attack, no matter how insignificant, staggers the player seems like a terrible idea. Here's hoping the author changes it, but as it is, it is not fun or challenging, it's just a major inconvenience (the stagger thing, I mean. Everything else is fine)...
