About this mod
Shadow Atronachs are sinister elementals created from shadow magic. They are born from the primordial dark, embodiments of terror and despair, enchanted by evil desires and profane thoughts so dark that they must be kept in the deepest recesses of the subconscious.

"In a metaphorical sense, shadows are everything that exists on the fringes of the divine Light, hidden from human understanding, where mortal knowledge cannot touch. Knowing that the Light represents creation, as described in the ancient scrolls, which gave life and keeps alive all that exists, its absence refers to the emptiness of the dark, incomprehensible abyss that precedes creation, and where everything that exists still hovers, amidst ghostly waves of mystery and apparent void.
Shadows are everything that is hidden, the mysterious and unknown is immersed in them, causing fear through uncertainty, creating distrust. Despair produces shadows, conflict creates true miasmas that break the connection of those involved with the Light of Aetherius, the source of creation, temporarily throwing them into a mental abyss with no way out. What prevents a mortal being from fragmenting and dissolving into the original void is their connection with this divine source of Aetherius. When weakened in its connection, the soul begins to dissolve and lose its compact elements, the shadow being the first.
The full understanding of the Shadow and its use, known as Shadow Magic, is as all-encompassing and uncontrollable as the Void itself, as infinite as the Waters of Oblivion, and only fractions of it can be understood and manipulated. If on the one hand the shadow commonly appears in the mortal world at first sight just as a harmless natural dynamic created when a body or object prevents the impact of light on another person or object, creating a temporary non-sentient duplicate of the person or object that created this blockage, on the other hand it can occur in a much more damaging and impactful way when, for example, during a conflict of great proportions such as a battle, those involved, due to the intense and frightening moment of despair, lose their connection with their souls directly linked to Aetherius and the divine purpose of their existences, and temporarily succumb to an indescribable fear and lack of faith in the Divines, and at that moment they can create coalitions of dark energy so large as to break reality, creating portals to dark realms formed from despair, personifying the fear of the unknown and the dark mystery, and of revolt against order and the Divines, giving temporary life to the otherwise harmless material shadows that they are producing, creating conscious duplicates of themselves or of the places where these ruptures occur inside such shadows, both personifying their worst fears of what could happen, their worst expectations, their worst nightmares, and everlasting existence, powered by the now opened connections to the dark realms.
But, it is important to mention that, although harmless, even the production of a body shadow in everyday life is also a form of natural shadow magic, although weak, since, without light there is no life, everything dies and returns to the void, and the moment you are projecting a shadow over something, you are, even if in a harmless way as mentioned, personifying the Void above Creation, anti-life. And, if you maintain the production of a shadow over a living object, for a long time, you can also produce feelings such as sadness or cold in it, and, if subjected to the absence of light for a long period of time, caused by the shadow you produced, the being can even meet sickness and death, like a flower deprived from the sunlight. Light is a powerful and essential exchange between the souls that animate living beings, and the source from which they come, serving the sun basically as a great portal for this energy. Shadow magic essentially works with the concept of corruption of this connection, and of the natural cycle of life, returning life to its original state of non-life, of non-existence.
Some shadow mages can steal a living person's shadow and use it as a slave, which will leave the person weak and without some of their power, and great shadow mages can even give this shadow a consciousness and eloquence, extracted from its original owner, which will even allow it to access the memories and knowledge of the person who possessed it. This can remove more than half of the stolen mortal's power, and even great masters such as Divayth Fyr, and gods such as Sotha Sil, have fallen victim to this at the hands of the Daedric Prince Nocturnal, according to ancient accounts.
A method used is to simply imprison mortals, who have had their shadows stolen, in the darkest realms of Oblivion forever, so that their continued production of dark energy due to despair and fear keeps their shadows alive and growing stronger, despite the fact that such shadows are usually basically puppets with basic instincts and no deep consciousness, possessing a shallow personality and rudimentary memories in most cases, if they have them at all. These shadows can act in the material world as simple servants (for example, guarding places), are continually connected by shadow links to their former owners in the prisons of Oblivion, and can even serve as channels for them, both for contact and for accessing their possessions, material or mental. Users of shadow magic can simply pull the soul of an enemy and extract through it, for example, the weapon he is carrying, or armor he is wearing, just by stealing their shadow counterparts. It is also possible to use the shadows to teleport between places. Some shadow mages also create Shadowgates, protective barriers formed by shadows that can only be opened with Shadowkeys, often to protect special places or items.
As mentioned, Shadows also represent what could be, the feared hidden mysterious potentials, and thus can represent parallel selves, complementary realities, subtle ghostly existences that hover around the reality of what the material world and its inhabitants actually are. In an attempt to use this to their advantage, some shadow mages have brought sentience and materiality to some of these hypothetical shadow clones of themselves and places, which often results in reality ruptures, with parts of the material world and the mages themselves being sucked into the empty realms or even destroyed by the newly revitalized shadows.
Shadows can also be used to form armor and weapons, and most importantly, golems. Animated by daedric souls, mortal souls, or simple arcane magic, Shadow Atronachs and Golems are shadow creatures and embodiments of all that is dark and lifeless. Born from ancestral evil, the embodiment of terror and despair, raised from the abyss of the original void, these creatures are among the most terrifying constructs to emerge from the Waters of Oblivion. On Nirn, they often guard chambers where shadow mages make their offerings of victims to the Void in exchange for power and knowledge.
Wizards skilled in dark magic also use arcane knowledge that allows them to enchant powerful weapons and dark artifacts, as well as use the shadows of their victims as guardians of the places they roam. Some wizards also shape Shadow Atronachs into animal-like forms, using them as mounts to move around."
