BETTER ALTERNATIVES
Leveling Freedom - Configure your XP Curve - Gentler Smoother Steeper or Flat: Can do the same, but uses an MCM to adjust the settings mid-game. I recommend the recommended preset. Also check out Leveling Freedom - Configure your XP Curve - Gentler Smoother Steeper or Flat - Settings Loader to make save the MCM settings between playtroughs.
Introduction
The mod Experience is a fantastic way to change the way you level in Skyrim. No longer do skills contribute, you now level by completing quests and by discovering new locations. When using a large number of mods that add new content (locations and quests), you might want the leveling speed to be slower and more spread throughout your play-through. This mod changes the fXPLevelUpBase value of the formula that Skyrim uses to decide when to level up: (fXPLevelUpBase)+(Current Char. Level * fXPLevelUpMult). I increased the fXPLevelUpBase value from 75 to 250 which means that it takes 175 experience points more to reach a new level then in vanilla. I didn't touch the increased XP needed to level added by each new level reached (fXPLevelUpMult).
