i cannot for the life of me get RS children to work. its far too incompatible with mods for my taste. is a non rs children version possible? it's a very cool mod, but it's a shame it's tied to RSC
Mod looks very interesting but the images show snow elf children with white hair and dark eyebrows. That surprised me. Gelebor's eyebrows are white just like his hair.
Looks nice, but doesn't feel lore-friendly, since the Falmer are the Snow Elves. Might still download, haven't decided yet, but just wanted to drop that compliment and that lore-friendliness note (since your only mention of not being lore-friendly was when you talked about using commands to clone them).
It's true that the Falmer are what became of the Snow Elves. BUT if you talk to Gelebor after completing the Sanctum (copied the following from the UESP-Wiki -> https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Knight-Paladin_Gelebor): >He also reveals he plans to keep the wayshrines open ("For the time being, they will remain open. If remnants of our kind who escaped the betrayal at the hands of the dwarves exist out there, perhaps they will find this place one day.")< He states that he might be the last of his kind, but it's not a fact. The kids being there should therefore be as lorefriendly as it could get.
You never know. Keep an open mind and remember Skyrim the game and the world is always twisty-turny and full of surprises. Have we really explored every single Dwemer ruin? Who knows what's out there. Didn't mean to sound like Fox Mulder...
These are hundred percent lore friendly in the contexts of the Dawnguard DLC. People use Snow elf and Falmer differently because "Falmer" are often seen as their now atrophied and degraded majority. The ones seen throughout Skyrim. Snow Elves are the Pure variations. They're still all Falmer, but for ease and specificism it's differentiated.
Plus, a Pure "Falmer" (or snow elf), is still possible as Gelebor mentions that plenty of Snow Elves didn't accept the Dwemer's bargain (Like the Forgotten Vale), and hid or disappeared.
It's an insult that you consider The Betrayed scum to be true Snow Elves. They are a wretched ilk, unfit to be even considered Snow Elf. They are a completely different species to Snow Elves, they've evolved to be subterranean and have literally no vision. Snow Elves are beautiful, have snow white hair and ice-blue eyes, and are absolutely gorgeous. An INSULT I say.. AN INSULT!!!
So a while back I posted how to get to the kids using console commands working with player.moveto
Now since the kids reference IDs first two digits change based on the Form ID in Vortex. I found an easier way to get to the kids. coc DLC1FalmerTemple01
This will take you inside the temple, once you zone in, simply do a 180 and go out the door, the kids will be outside and on the right from the exit.
it's a great idea, if you wanted to make it better then a small quest to save them after the dawnguard quest finishes would be a nice touch, a simple note or journal on Vyrthur with a devious plot he cooked up for them and it's MC's goal to go save them, adding a small secret passage to a dudgeon or something in the temple.
For anyone looking to get these kiddos without having to get into Forgotten Vale; in order to teleport to the kids you have to use their reference IDs not their NPC ids. The command to teleport you to them is:
Player.moveto
The reference IDs for the kids are:
Aerondyl - xx000811 - xx representing the DLC number I think or the index order on Vortex? Aelanye - xx000812 - xx representing the DLC number I think or the index order on Vortex?

Beatiful mod though!
