About this mod

Created with performance in mind, it's a Realistic and ENB-like LUT for ReShade, made from scratch in professional color grading software DaVinci Resolve, and a few lightweight effects.
Look through many screenshots to better understand how it works.

LUT is one of the 4 effects, but I spent the most time on it.

How this LUT works:
  • It is not an "Instagram color filter" that overlays some colors and your image always will have it.
  • Warm colors become warmer and cold colors - colder, without over-saturation look.
  • Gray image stays gray - only contrast changes.
  • Contrast curve in this LUT better and softer than in Vanilla Skyrim - this is why we lower contrast in Skyrim.ini.
  • Fixed Skyrim`s dirty yellow and disgusting brown.
  • Also, I made some boost to green and purple, without over-saturation look.
  • LUT based on -0.2 Skyrim contrast and Ambient Light effect that comes before LUT.
  • Made in DaVinci Resolve - main color grading software in Hollywood for more than a decade.

I use Obsidian Weathers, but it's good for all natural and realistic weathers.
If your weather already vivid and bright, you can decrease chroma amount (color change) and luma amount (brightness change) in the LUT.fx settings.

Effects: (with performance drop)
  • Ambient Light (2%)
  • LUT - all color grading is here (1%)
  • AMD Contrast Adaptive Sharpen* (1%)
  • Pirate Bloom* (4%)

* - can be disabled without breaking the color grading.

Total performance drop: 7-8% (on the GTX 970)
If you leave only the first two main effects, it's only a 3% drop.

Installation:
  • Install ReShade from the official site.
  • Unpack archive:
    A) unpack into your game directory and replace when prompted.
    B) or don't replace to keep the newest ReShade files.
  • Open Skyrim.ini and change fGlobalContrastBoost to -0.2
    Skyrim.ini

    [Display]
    fGlobalContrastBoost=-0.2
  • In-game, open ReShade panel and select "DaVinci ReShade.ini", then enable performance mode if you don't want to change values.

I use updated AmbientLight.fx from GitHub.
If you want to enable additional options in AmbientLight.fx, you need to download Dirt.png, DirtOVB.png, DirtOVR.png, LensDB.png, LensDB2.png, LensDOV.png, LensDUV.png from this GitHub page.

Don't forget to make fGlobalContrastBoost=-0.2 in the Skyrim.ini!
