Yeah, that's a problem I had been unable to fix. The custom meshes and textures are apparently not "synched" properly towards your finger, and is instead calibrated to be on the floor.
is there a version where i don't have to go into stealth mode. all i have to do is equip it ?
the reason why i want it like that, and not only when i sneak .. is that if i go into Sneak mode, all my party members followers start sneaking too, that's not what i want.
I just install it. Unfortunately, I cant find the ring in the skeleton and barrels and, trying to use command, it didnt work. I'm using SE. Any thoughts?? Do I have to move the load order?
Sorry to hear that. Haven't gotten to testing this mod because my PC kept running out of space. Fortunately, six days ago I finally managed to save enough to buy a new SSD with a larger storage space. It's currently on the way; according to my app, it should arrive by December 2 2023.
Did this ever get patched to have the ring show up on your character's finger? If it's too much trouble to get the LOTR version wearable on the character I'd honestly just take one of the stock rings in the game, personally. Better than a fancy looking ring that's stuck on the floor haha.
I found the way to fix with who has problem with infinite invisible: The vanilla "Sneak" perk have a black smoke effect when crouching > make this mod broke.

This mod doesn't work with SE anymore. Ring not at location. If you add ring to inventory via console command, ring shows in inventory but will not have any effect if you equip/unequip. This is my favorite mod in Skyrim, please fix <3
Huh? Did Skyrim SE got updated again? Last time I tried this on the GOG version of Skyrim SE, it worked fine. It's okay, I'll look into it when I have the chance.
I looked in Helgan, it was not there. I can't figure out how to add it via console commands because I have no clue where Vortex shows me what the mode index is. I tried the deploy order and that didn't give any results. Either I am not doing something right or I'm just blind or this mod doesn't work.
So I compacted the forms and marked this ESL in SSEedit. I will report back if this causes any immediate issues in my testing. I could find no reason not to make this an ESL and you can't do this midgame without breaking the forms. If anyone has tried this and found issues with converting to ESL, please post your info. Thanks for a great mod!
Heck! I don't know! lol I couldn't find the ring on the barrel. Possibly because of this or the JK's Whiterun Outskirts mod I'm testing. I just used Additem Menu Mod to get it. I do have a strange issue with rings where they appear to float near the player's feet. But I noticed that BEFORE I tested this mod. I look into to converting every small mod to ESL. There are potential ramifications for doing this. I'm still learning about those issues and when or when not to ESLify. I did this on a test build. I don't suggest doing it on a live build unless you are very knowledgeable about the potential issues it could cause. Compacting forms changes the form ID. That could be very bad. :)
