Regarding Anniversary Edition
The crossbows and bolts added by recent updates and Anniversary Edition don't have the same restrictions as the old ones as far as I know, meaning there's probably no real need to update this mod. I'm open to suggestions however. This mod will still work on the previous non CC crossbows (Steel, Dwarven) and doesn't need updating.
I am writting for another player using the steam skyrim special edition complete pack updated without other mods he could not anymore build dwelmer crossbow and bolts on the forge (but sill have them like 500 ones), is this mod still working for others people ? I also could not run ModOrganizer on his system as he lost cursor doing it so not sure is the issue is the mod manager or this mod so if someone could confirm it's still working ? thanks
Strange issue with your friend's Mod Organizer. If you mean Anniversary Edition, yes this mod works as long as you have the relevant perks. At least it should. I don't personally use AE but there should be no reason for it not to and I haven't seen other posts since AE's release mentioning it.
Maybe test on a fresh save by: - teleporting to Riverwood from the main menu (console command: coc riverwood) - adding smithing levels (console command: player.AdvSkill smithing 9999) - buy the smithing perks and see if the recipes show up
To me it sounds like an installation problem seeing as this mod should work alongside all AE's new content
So the issue was that he used an xbox 360 contoler (or windows beleive there is one) and so Mod organizer fail to run skyrim with this one, removing from Devices manager allowed to use Mod Manager and then your mod. Without your mod we see the crossbow but no way to craf the dwemer bolts. Even using the commands "ccc" and Player smithing. So your mod run fine even with all the latest updates, thanks again.
As long as this mod and ars metallica are installed correctly and you have the relevant perks, I can't think of any reason you can't craft other than a mod conflict.
Thank you for this mod. I've been looking for something like this for awhile now on PS4. But everytime I ask, I get told "That's not possible on PS4".
I'm looking right at the bloody mod in my library and it works fine! I don't know what kind of sorcery you pulled off, but you did it.
The only other mod I was able to find was some stupid piece of crap that gave you a Lesser Power to craft ammo, but "in the interests of game balancing" you only got half the amount of ammo.
Game balancing? b&@*$, this is Skyrim! A single-player game. Who the hell am I going to hurt by being able to craft the full amount of bolts without joining the Dawnguard?
You have no idea how much I wish I could reach through the internet and smack these people. Just what the hell is wrong with them?
So thank you again. Now I can finally throw this half-assed craft ammo anywhere mod in the trash where it belongs.
Very nice mod. Kinda needed if you don't fast travel. Just informing you that the Immersive x2 version still gives you the standard 10 bolts instead of 20.
it's good for those who side with vampires but want to have unique crowwbows. but is there a mod that somehow adds an access to unique vampire items (rings etc) for those who side with dawnguard?
Writting to see if this is compatible with the new special mod release "skyrim enderal" ? I moved theses mod files to Enderal folders, the "Craftable" mod appear in the game so i could select it and enable but nothings seems to be visible in the list of craftable guns. Any idea ? thanks
Is there a version that only allows Steel Crossbows and Bolts to be crafted, and saving the Dwarven Crossbows, Dwarven Bolts and Enhanced versions to be unlocked through the Dawnguard questline as they normally would?
I haven't gotten far enough to check. But have you considered making this compatible with Creation Club content? There are 2 crossbow specific packs and some extra bolts in the 'curios' pack.
You can craft those though, you just buy the item first from the fletcher IIRC. You can also get ebony and elven crossbows from the CC content at any level and in the fletcher in solitude there's a daedric crossbow to steal.
