I don't know if the modder who created this is still around, but the script the ESP calls for, 2sRandomAlternateWarp.pexWas not included in the archive. No such script is referenced in the original RASR mod either, leading me to believe this is simply an oversight of some kind. If you can somehow find the time to ensure this script is included, I am interested in including this mod in a publicly-available modlist of my own creation.
Would it be possible to start a game using ASLAL and then install RASR and RAW mid-playthrough so you just get the random respawns on death and not the RASR starts? I really love the idea of this mod but prefer starting the game with ASLAL.
What you described as a solution should 100% work. RASR only affects new games, and my mod only requires RASR in that it uses RASR's list of spawn locations. So you should definitely be able to use ASLAL at the start and then install RASR and RAW mid-playthrough.
Hey, I added this to my mod list. RASR works, but RAW does not work. RASR started me in a random location, I walked around a bit, and then used the power, and my body became transparent, then back to solid and I stayed where I was, didn't move at all.
I also use Death Alternative: Reincarnation, which is working fine. But to make sure it's not a conflict with my other mods, I tested with only the following mods and still, RASR works but RAW does not work.
SKSE (with or without the essentials: .NET script, Bug fixes, Engine fixes, Display tweaks, USSEP, SkyUI) RASR -RandomAlternate Start Reborn Random AlternateWarp
I'm in the same boat as Ellewyn. I have RASR installed and loading prior to RAW. RASR works every time... RAW hasn't worked a single time for me. I use the power, I get an active effect timer on the screen, but absolutely nothing happens. I really like this idea and I'm so frustrated that I can't get it to work. Any troubleshooting ideas??
I'm back. After a clean install of literally everything: reinstalled game, rebuilt directory, clean save, reinstall mod, etc... The problem as mentioned above is still present. Now I'm more than positive it's a problem within my own load order as I have 700+ mods. Just thought I would give an update to my own troubleshooting.
I really like the idea here, but I'm running into the same problem reported by Ellewyn and DarthCharles: RASR works perfectly when I start the game, but, when I use RAW's "Vague Destination" power, my character briefly gets a ghost shader applied, then the shader is removed and I'm still standing in the same place. I've tested this inside an inn, outdoors in town (note: Open Cities), outdoors away from town, and in a dungeon, with the same results in all cases.
If there's any further information I can provide to help troubleshoot this, just let me know and I'm happy to help out.
+1 here... The character shows the effect but stays in place (installed mid-game, large modlist). I really want this feature :) Maybe there is a console command to get around the bug?

The random alternate starts are always super fun so it's great you've made a way to experience it without having to start a whole new game.
I'm making a sticky on my mod page with a link to Random Alternate Warp.
