What kind of damage are we talking here? Ulfberht swords, for their era, were the best in the world, surpassing anything coming out of anywhere that had an established sword making reputation like the pre reconquista Iberian Kingdoms, or Japan that both later went on to make famously sharp and strong blades, even then, the very height of those places glory days still did not produce swords that significantly bested these ones.
They were an object way ahead of their time, far beyond most swords used in late Dark Age, early Medieval Europe, indeed, the world, so I would be interested if they're a bit OP, because in this instance it would be rather accurate for them to be.
Thank you! Yeah, the idea just stuck, and I took it as a reason to finally learn how to use Blenders shading nodes for texturing, and really make it MY sword.
