Amazing views!  Congrats on picking the spot and setting up the exterior to showcase those!

You make some of my favorite player homes. They are reasonably sized and dont stray too far from the vanilla home designs, so they don't feel out of place. Great work. I also like that you give them fun little backstories.

    Hi there...
i've checked the home... nice placement of the house with a great view, for me actually also the right size... no children or hordes of followers and employees, all crafting stations available, everything you need and loving interior design . BUT... can you also make a 'static clutter' version? I hate this loose clutter... once things are lying around... rolling... falling... the whole place looks like a battlefield after a short time. ... and maybe a bed with a different slatted frame? I love the rustic nord way of life, but these beds always give me a straight spine just from looking at them . Also, a 'Fast Travel' marker on the map would not be bad... so i remember even after a longer break from playing, when i restart, that my player home is still there
One more question: why is the player home placed in the category 'Alchemy'? Wouldn't it make more sense to put it into 'Player Homes'... i mean sometime in the future someone who filters for 'Player Homes' will not stumble upon 'Quaint Abode.

I have looked in the past a couple times about making *actually static* clutter, it looks complicated/confusing/tiring for me, and I personally like non-static clutter so no, sorry. I did go back in and add more 'disablehavokonload' to some items(and will upload after this comment) which behaves in the same way as 'static' clutter but you can still pick the items up, but even before I did not have such an issue with things all over the place? I am confused as to why everything was rolling and falling and stuff? Were you Shouting a lot for some reason? Even jumping around has not been a problem before... o.0
Sorry, I don't want to make an alternate version just for the bedchange, and it is meant to be that way-the bed looking like it does, I mean lol.
I have changed the marker to 'visible' so you can see it on your map now, but you still need to travel to it to be able to fast travel.

Thanks for that, I don't know why it was alchemy lol I don't know how I missed that. >..< I have changed it to Player Homes since last night, but I was very tired and went straight to bed.

      Thank you for your reply.
I always found and still find loose clutter annoying... in places where it doesn't concern me it doesn't matter if it looks like in a pigsty or not, but in my own home it bothers me a lot when companions or servants knock things over which then roll through the area. Basically, places where many objects stand on tables like plates, knives, forks, food, bowls, jugs, etc... look completely devastated after a short time. Even if I do nothing at all, some npc suddenly gets the idea to run over the table or moves so close to the buffet that everything is lying on the floor. This just happend to me in the palace of solitude and in the meadhall in solstheim. I've often experienced that I enter a fresh instance and the first what has happened that things fall off the shelf or are already lying on the floor. I enter windhelm and on the market the display of the merchants is on the ground. Personally I like to have static clutter as decoration, e.g. a box with soul gems, which is then described as storage for soul gems.

      P.S.
Just tested the new version... much better... works fine... is bought and endorsed
can you do the 'disablehavokonload' for the table outside as well? The sabre-toothed tiger next door said he had to cover the table even though i hadn't finished eating yet...

      just uploaded new file. :)

yes I am not fond of the sabretooths. I don't know why. Bears are annoying as heck, but I really, really don't like the sabretooths for some reason.

      Thanks a lot for updating

You may want to consider Jaxonz Positioner mod, which allows you to lock in place all objects in the cell using the MCM.

Just giving Quaint Shack a whirl in a new play through, would love to see something like this across from DragonsBridge as it is sadly lacking houses, cabins, shacks in that area.
The area i have in mind is where Frost River Farm from Cutting Room floor is, i used to use one called Wilderness Cottage from Skyrim at that location, but it hasn't been ported to SE.
    Cheers.

I happened to be on the forum when this uploaded and I pounced on it with great glee. My initial response was one of great enthusiasm so I'm about to start a new game with this as the base. It's extremely well realised and as always you've conjured up the characters of the former occupants. I do so love that. Your use of cupboards and such like is so inventive! BTW I spent ages looking for the key as I'm used to you hiding it somewhere and with a note so eventually I gave up and looked at what you'd said about it. Talk about hidden in plain sight!!! Endorsed! I do hope you realise just how much pleasure these homes give those of us who have happened across them! :-)

Thank you very much. :) You'll like whenever the Lair is finally done then, got a couple 'inventive' things. XD
Yeah this time, and Domicile actually, I didn't really 'hide' the keys or have hidden places anywhere or anything. It just kind of is. But I guess it does blend in really well with the table. :p

I *love* the cold storage! How did you know that leaving all that food out freaked some of us out?! :-D By the way, when we arrived at Quaint Abode, Teldryn said how nice it was and that he didn't know I was rich! :-D (Thanks for *that* suggestion too).

Thank you :P Actually someone on a discord I'm a member of suggested that teasingly; and I had remembered that I made something similar the very first time I ever tried making a housemod like two years ago. And I really liked that idea, so I tried again, and I quite like how it turned out. :)
You're welcome ;) He's the greatest. Someone else on here had a project they were working on for more lines and immersiveness/involve-dness of him too; but it is unfinished, I really hope someone picks it up again sometime and also makes it compatible with the Teldryn mods of Undriel's. It could become something like Serana Dialogue Add-On and Serana Dialogue Edit, which are also fantastic (I love those mods).

I assume the 'cold storage' works through ice wraith teeth! But it really raised a smile here; I put all the perishable goods away! :-)

Like you, I love having Serana around. She still manages to surprise me. In one very dusty house where I was busy picking up empty bottles, she picked up a broom and started sweeping the floor.

Great mod, Great location, nicely done.

One problem I have is that I am unable to get to the loft. It give
me the open to open ladder or close ladder. After I open ladder
I am still unable to climb it.

I am using a controller, but I don't think that, that should matter.

Again, really like the way it is setup out of the normal travel lanes
were one can really relax and enjoy the countryside, except for
    the occasional dragon..

I will have to fix that, I'm sorry; you're not actually supposed to be able to get up there, it's just for aesthetic/look purposes. Like that you can see from below kind of, loft is there and full of things.
I'm glad you like it. ;)

That's cool, I have my follower Lydia sleeping in my bed when
we visit the place, which makes it comfie....LOL..

I'm not a modder myself, and profess no knowledge of such either. That being said, I really like the aesthetic you have with these quaint homes scattered around the map. Is there any way to roll all of them up into 1 complete package and create 1 esp for them? Not sure how such things work, but it would be great to have all of them in one place so they could be used together with minimal impact on load list. Even makes since as you really stumble over them while exploring the map and just claim them after finding the key. Would be very convenient for multiple followers as well. Could give all of them their own homestead to "maintain" for you as a reward for being your buddy.

*This is not a demand or begging, just an honest question*

      Thank you!
Probably, I've never looked into it myself but I'm pretty sure there's a way to/that other modders have done so. I might sometime, if it seems something that even I could understand and not botch horribly lol.
