I barely know what I'm doing when it comes to mods and gave this a shot long ago and it happened to work....
That being said I don't have any intention of doing anything else with this, but feel free to do as thou wilt with it. If you decide to use anything from this mod just give cred to the original author.
Hey dude, I'm kinda stuck on this. Did you just edit its partition type to longhair on the nif or did you need to edit the esp aswell to match? or even better, if you could upload your edits as a patch, that would be great
Works great except the top two tentacles remain stuck up. I suppose I can just pretend those are horns lol. Anyone else having this issue?
EDIT: Discovered that the issue is due to a conflict between this mod and another mod in my load order called "Aquatic Elegance," which also uses HDT physics. By using the non-HDT enabled version of "Aquatic Elegance," the "Dread Tentacles" behaves as intended.
EDIT: Aquatic Elegance mod specifically mentions this incompatibility. I just overlooked it.
You could play around with the mesh in Outfit Studio, it worked for me. Change the Scale (from the Shape menu). The dreds stick out and are a little stiff, looks a little weird. May have to play around with the XML file a bit to get them to droop down more.

EDIT: figured it out, open outfitstudio and go to partitions, there, change its typing to longhair or hair
