Stop writing comments concerning the volume of the music, it's at the exact level I intended it to be at when I made this for myself and a few friends and it will not be altered. As I've already stated, creating this mod was not a complicated process, one anyone can complete if they so choose. If you aren't happy with this mod, create your own.
To those who are satisfied, I'm glad I was able to bring Eliott's great cover into your Skyrim.
Funny, enough I bought the song off band camp after listening to this mod. I wonder if I could replace the compressed version in this mod with my WAV file one? Sorry, I am not an audiophile but music inconsistency really bothers me.
Edit: I renamed the file to my Eliot music file to the same as this mod's music file mus_maintheme.wav File extension doesn't seem to matter and it worked!
Nice one. I made my own custom mod for the intro song. I bought Jereme Soule's original album from his website for the entire Skyrim album and I altered and ported into XML "One They Fear" for my opening game music.
IMHO the very best song on the entire album since it really boils down that it is the BOSS music for the Dragonborn from the Dragons perspective.
Glad someone made this into a mod. Great version of the song. One request tho. Is there anyway you can increase the volume? It's very quiet on my game. I've got the volumes up like normal. Thank you in advance!
The song is mixed as it was in the original video - I haven't noticed any issue with the volume in my own menu. If you installed this and didn't listen far enough into the song, I can see why, depending on your audio set-up, it may seem quiet. I'm sorry you're not satisfied, but you can always create your own just as I did.

You'll also want to cut out some audio at the beginning and fade into the music from the ambient wind sound that plays before the song begins and remove his end screen. This can be done with any basic audio editing software.
It's not the volume, it's the dynamic range. The audio compression used in the files used by the Creation Engine decreases the dynamic range heard in the original mix. The description of this mod explains why. If you have a sound card which comes with fancy software, it sometimes has features which help, but it's kind of the nature of the beast. At the end of the day it's an old game on an obsolete, overextended engine.
Thank you for bringing this song to the nexus. Of all the main menu music replacers, it is the only one which makes me feel like I did when I first heard 'Nerevar Rising'.
This mod is absolutely Amazing! Works perfectly! This was the first time That I heard this song, and it is so beautiful. There's nothing wrong with the volume as far as I can tell so let that be the end of it. I almost had tears in my eyes listening to this song. Thank you so much Lucien! I really appreciate the mod!
I'm very glad to hear you appreciated the mod! You seem to have enjoyed the cover as much as I do (the Erhu solo is what sold me). Please consider supporting Eliott's channel, he and his team are wonderful musicians. :)
