This mod uses BAB's own custom songbook framework, meaning it's completely incompatible with any other mod that does the same (such as Lute Instrumental Songbook) as they will simply overwrite each other. It will,however, work with any standalone songbooks (such as Caslyn's Songbooks.) I may eventually look into transforming this into a standalone, but that is above my skill at the moment.
i cannot for the life of me get this to work. i've tried both methods of installing with both bard mods, but the music never plays (dunmer female), just the animation. even tried the fix sznuruwa666 suggested, but nothing. maybe its a problem on my end but i am pretty sure i followed all of the instructions correctly. any ideas?
I don't know why but it doesn't play any music for me. It only plays the animation. I put the files into Sound/FX/Mus/Bard/Custom but it didn't change anything. Any solutions?
EDIT: Fixed it, if anyone's having the same problem using MO2, here's my solution. 1. Download the desired .zip and extract it to a new folder, 2. Transfer the sound files to Sound/FX/Mus/Bard/Custom and rename them to Custom0*.xwm, 3. Make a new .zip file with the "Sound" folder containing the subfolders with music and name it "Become a Bard", 4. Install the zip as BaB and be sure to click MERGE (not replace), 5. Set the right song lengths and names if you want, the mod is now working!
- Place the Song files in "Data\Sounds\FX\Mus\Bard\Custom"instead of"Data\Sounds" (create the folders if they are not already present) - Change the Filenames from "1.xwm, 2.xwm, 3.xwm, ..." to "Custom01.xwm, Custom02.xwm, Custom03.xwm, ..."
The Bat File won't set the times for this version, so you will have to set the song lengths in the MCM (Become a Bard>Custom Songbook>Set Song Lengths)
So I'm doing a bit of work, seeing if I can mod it myself to only have the songs I like. That's not important, what is, is that in that effort I've started changing the files from .xwm to .wav and listening to them. I've only done the khajiit female, altmer female, and three-banners female, but I know what files are what songs. Khajiit Female- 1.xwm is A Cat's Serenade, 2.xwm is Dancing Among the Flowers Fine, 3.xwm is Demon from the East, 4.xwm is Song of Alkosh's Champion, 5.xwm is Sweet Moon-Sugar Cane, 6.xwm is The Burning of Senchal, 7.xwm is The Gambler's Art, 8.xwm is The Song of Khunzar-ri, and 9.xwm is Val Vijah Va Rhook, Bandaari. Three-Banners Female- 1.xwm is From Dread Daedra Save Us, 2.xwm is Mourning the Dead, 3.xwm is Over the Seas and Far Away, 4.xwm is Red Diamond, 5.xwm is Sway as We Kiss, 6.xwm is The Ebonheart Pact, 7.xwm is The Plane Meld, and 8.xwm is To Freedom (Instramental). Altmer Female- 1.xwm is Charge of Welkynar, 2.xwm is Folly of Man, 3.xwm is Praise Be (Ancestor Song), 4.xwm is The Star-Eyed Bride of Alinor, 5.xwm is The Tale of Syrabane, 6.xwm is From Dread Daedra Save Us (Instramental), 7.xwm is Ode to the Queen, and 8.xwm is Ode to the Queen (Instramental). I'm not planning on looking at the others as these three had the songs I liked anyway. But here you go, in case anyone wanted to know.
There is a list in the docs tab, however they are not in order. My list is the actual order these songs are in so one could go ahead and create their own songbook, with whatever songs they want on it.
iam really struggling to play those songs once in game, i did the console thing but when i use the songbook power it plays the shtty 4 base songs, can someone pls help? am i missing something?
Make sure you're using the Custom Songbook ability instead of whatever BAB is giving you to start with. I believe you can get it from someone at the Bard's College.

Here are the seconds to set them for
Custom01.xwm = 123
Custom02.xwm = 192
Custom03.xwm = 137
Custom04.xwm = 172
Custom05.xwm = 149
Custom06.xwm = 208
Custom07.xwm = 123
Custom08.xwm = 160
Custom09.xwm = 117
Which is unfortunate because I'd like to use both. is a patch possible?
Edit: Well, one quick trip to the description answered that for me.
