2nd Edit: I'm a total idiot. I spent WEEKS on this trying to figure out how to use this animation. Spent so much time uninstalling and reinstalling Nemesis PCEA, Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine, DAR and reading old Reddit forums. All I had to do was install Nemesis PCEA via Mod Manager (previously manually installed before), go to PCEA's mesh folders, create another folder for this mod called "1Kenjutsu" and pasting the hkx files inside, updating Nemesis Engine and launching it.
Edit: I got Nemesis PCEA to work (installed it via Mod Manager using Vortex when manually installing didn't work), but I only got 0Dser_Animations as an option. How do I go about using this mod's animations? I updated the Nemesis Engine, but still only have the one animation pack PCEA came with the only option in the MCM.
Original Comment: Is this as simple as install with a mod manager (I'm using Vortex) and play or do I have to do something with DAR or the Nemesis PCEA? Because I dont know what to do with the latter mods and IDK how they work, they're way too confusing for me
@BIGCHUNGUS460 That's because I had a mod where I can select different animations. My comment wasn't a guide for others as my problem was very specific.
I gotcha Fam. After installing Nemesis PCEA navigate to the mod on Vortex and right click. open file manager then go to the animation folder where you see 0Dser_Animations Make a new folder name it 1kenjustu (anything really, so long as you put a number in front of the folder) now put the kenjustu animation hk. files inside that folder. Deploy vortex save changes and then run nemesis, if it shows up in nemesis under 0Dser_Animations during its installation process then you did it right. go in game and set the animation via MCM menu.
Best bet would be Animated Armory, it designates a Katana weapon class, and then with DAR, could use to apply these animations. Just guestimation, haven't tested it.
i cannot for the life of me get the idle to work. i removed the attack files and even the idles from nemesis pcea and cgo. im not really great at this. please help. thank you.
alright I just have to say these animations are GOOD! really good, some of the best i've seen for katanas! I really like how they aren't super flashy or over the top, but more so realistic. And that idle, dude its really nice!
As for CGO; well its not your fault, but not all of your animations will display correctly. Remove moving attacks to front, back, left and right and it should work flawlessly. or keep it just like it is now, but it won't look as intended. You probably know this already, just writing it for newcomers hehe
can any1 explain to me how to get this animation to work "smoothly" in game just like shown in his video? Ihave Nemeis + Nemesis PCEA + CGO and lemme tell you the animation is terrible my character is just like a broken robot trying to imitate human's attack moves...
I love how smooth these animations are! Would you be willing to make saber/scimitar animations? I use yours for the 1handed variants for New Weapon Types and Animation Support. And I cannot find any scimitar animations for the life of me.
