I am the original mod creator, I got locked out of my account due to 2fa. Currently waiting to hear back from tech support but made this alternate account. I'll be honest I am probably not nearly as experienced as you are with solving the issues. You are welcome to use my patch as a base and reupload it as your own better patch and link to it there. If I ever get access back to my account I can even re-upload or just direct traffic your way instead.
Just a small bit of information, but if you simply load Open Cities Skyrim after Atlas Map Markers then you won't have those issues. No need to make a custom patch, unless you really want to load Atlas Map Markers before Open Cities Skyrim for whatever reason.
I'm sorry, I made this post long long ago and I have no idea what I did, but I can most certainly say that I've learned a lot since I made this post and whatever I was talking about was probably my own fault lol.
I don't understand what I did wrong but there are two city symbols on my map and when I go to a city there is one normal city and one I can go from somewhere inside the city. If there is a quest inside the city, the quest says that I should go to the second city entrance that is already inside the city. when I go to the entrance it takes me to a closed city like in the original game. Could anyone know what is the issue and how can I solve it? I'm new at modding and this is the first time I play this game. Sorry for my bad English.
Does not seem to work with Solitude when using fast travel to the vanilla solitude location. The atlas (2018) mod seems more stable anyways with a built in open cities skyrim.

just saw loot's error about ocs and atlas mcm incompatibility when i am reinstalling my modlist and was so happy to see that there was finally a patch for this
Loot is based off a master list that has to be updated. It doesn't actually check to see if the patch has fixed anything it has to be updated and told that the patch fixes the incompatibility. You can ignore the loot message for now I will see what I can do about getting my patch added to the master list.
I have informed the group that manages Loot via discord and asked them to update the master list with my patch. Not sure how long it usually takes but hopefully this will be updated soon. But the patch works either way.
