No matter what I do this mod doesn't work. Updated ConsolUtil, installed SSE FPS Stabilizer, but still have the disgusting rimlighting on every character.
That likely wouldn't work, plugin .inis don't run console commands to my knowledge, they only edit Skyrim.ini/SkyrimPrefs.ini settings. The BSA contains a script that is needed by the plugin. If you delete the BSA without extracting it, you are deliberately breaking the mod.
Alternatively I would recommend just using SSE/VR FPS Stabilizer and setting FPSStabilizerEnabled to 0 in its .ini, and adding cl off under [PostLoadGame] This is what I use currently.
For anyone reading this in 2023 using AE in conjunction with ConsolUtil, this works as designed for me by typing either cl off or cl on in the consol window.
This mod really helped me deal with Lux + Enb + CBBE creating awful clothing glows! Also I had DisableFakeLights=True in enblocal and thats not what this mod effects for anyone wondering. That's for fake environment lightings I think. Anyways thank you! Underrated mod!
So basically, what you are saying is that there is technically no changes needed to be made in this mod since as soon as ConsoleUtil will be working, this mod should work fine out of the box without a specific AE update on your part?

No wonder ... even with the great lighting mod work out there ... lighting was just never right! especially the recent directional work.
honestly ... this should be first mod anyone installs!
After so much game time ... sad I just found this! /facepalm

Thanks for the fix
