I am posting this to all my male NPC mods.

I really hate to do this, but I'm just going to nip this in the bud now.  The majority of my comments regarding my work have been wonderful, highly positive, and encouraging.  Then there are those who do not like my mods but move on.  That is the mature thing to do.  But there are those in this world who insist on giving their entitled input.  Constructive criticisms are welcome.  Toxicity is not.  I try to give my mod pages a positive environment while trying to help people get the most out of my mods.  Yet, while I am a happy person, I don't have the patience for entitlement.  I will be blunt.

If you do not like my mods, you are free to find what you like elsewhere.  Free will is a wonderful thing.  Modders work very hard making their creations for you all that are FREE.  Don't be that person who complains about free stuff.  The gaming industry is toxic enough.  Let's keep things positive and fun.  If you don't like my mod, do not comment on how much you hate it.  Those kinds of comments benefit no one.  That includes in email.  I do not care about your perceived entitlement.

    Some notes:

    1. I've dramatically changed some NPCs, especially if they are marriageable.

    2.  I have changed up all the NPCs. I have overhauled my overhauls.  I've added .nif files to the mods, rebuilt the faces using Tempered Skins and SOS Light (mod does not have skins attached) for consistency purposes, and made some other minor tweaks.  I'm happier with it all.

    3.  I've created each updated NPCs from my other mods as well as this with High Poly Head V.4.

    4. I will NOT make one large mod page for all my NPCs yet... 'yet' being the operative word. I have a lot more NPCs to do. When they are all finished, then I will do so. For now, you have to suffer separate files.

If you want to remove NPCs from my mod, you can do so in SSEEedit. It looks daunting, but if I can do it, seriously, anyone can because I'm a techno-idiot. When you open SSEEdit after downloading, it will bring up all your mods. Right-click anywhere and click 'show none' or something to that extent so it unticks all the mods. Then at the top search for my mod by name (PA44 will do). Double click the mod. It will open up all the assets in my mod. Go to Non-Playable Characters, right-click and click remove (not remove filter) for each character you want to get rid of. It will ask you if you're sure, just click yes. Save mod (see the three dashes at the top left? Click that and it will give you the option to save mod.) That's it. You will only have whatever NPCs you want in there. THEN you need to go to the other mod you want to replace my NPC with and delete theirs.

For example: If you only want my Vilkas, you can remove all my NPCs and leave him in there. If you have another NPC mod that changes the Companions, you will need to REMOVE their Vilkas that you are replacing to prevent the blackface bug.

If you do this, though, you do so at your own risk. I just recommend you choose one or the other NPC overhaul mod.

Hello, sorry for bothering, any solution to make it look like the photos?
    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/images/223607
I'm using these tempered skins for men: vanilla and SOS versions.
I tried to remove the npc from the mod, but it remains with a black face. please help.

Hello! A bit late but maybe you still need help. To completely remove NPC without any risk of black face you need not only remove character via xEdit as described in the sticky, but you also need to remove facegen and facetint for that character. To do so, you go to the mod folder and type the characters's ID in the search. You can see the ID on the wiki or in xEdit. The result of the search must be two files: .nif and .dds. You delete these, and you never going to face the black face (haha).

Also maybe appearance in your game is affected by some lighting mods, reshade or ENB.

Maybe that's needed to resolve a HPH bug described here https://forums.nexusmods.com/topic/13078941-weird-visual-bug-on-beard-34-in-game-after-facegen/

I'm just downloading all of your NPC mods.  I really like the changes, but I'm more impressed with how you covered EVERYONE.  The amount of dedication you have to a project is amazing and honestly, I'm jealous.  I'd have either given up or rushed through, but everyone is unique and carefully crafted.  Absolutely amazing and I hope you're proud of yourself.

Thanks so much! I believe those are just vanilla warpaints. I've since updated them for the rest of the men using Vanilla Warpaints Absolution

I absolutely love all your mods! I was super excited for this one especially. I was wondering though, is there a way to have Argis with his blind eye still? I saw there was a vanilla eye option but not sure if that would do it? (I just got the game and sadly have not gotten him as housecarl yet because that takes forever.)

Thank you and glad you liked it!

See #4 in my description, please. I know Argis has a blind eye. I liked him without it. He's my creation in how I wanted him .

Your suggestion made me bold enough to use the edit tool and OMG it IS easy! I once blew up a VCR and even I could do it! I see what you mean to, when i removed him he had the grey face and I had to reset his weight to get rid of it but then his warpaint was gone. So def something a bit complex with his face because I didn't have that issue with any other npcs.
Now I can have my pretty Omluag AND rugged Argis!

HOT DIGGITY! Thank you! I have a whole thing about my scarred and wounded mage kind of bonding with him over that and helping each other in combat, so I am really excited to play them together! (and yes I will totally gratuitous screenshot them and post for your mod when I get him.)

IMPORTANT:  This just came to my attention.  If you are using the updated FOMOD or are updating any of my NPCs, please delete the old ones first.  I have rebuilt all the mods and renamed them a little differently for consistency purposes.  It's best to fully uninstall my old ones and reinstall the updated ones.

UPDATE:  You all asked (*cough* nagged and nagged and wore me down) for an all-in-one installer.  I have figured it all out and I have uploaded it.  Please note that this FOMOD gets bigger and longer to up/download the more NPCs I add.  This includes all my NPCs overhauls as well as POS Presets.  I have loaded it in my Small Town Men ONLY.  I don't want load this over and over... it's big and takes too long.  Grab from link below:

I enjoy your Pride of Skyrim overhauls, but I was really disappointed to see that your changes to Argis include removing the fact that he's blind in one eye. I think that removing this and making him fully sighted does a disservice to his character, and removing a disability from a character isn't a great precedent to set. I hope you might reconsider that choice.

I'm sorry, are you saying I'm being against those with disabilities because I removed his blind eye? It's a game character, first of all. Second, I tried to keep his blind eye but I kept ending up with brownface. It has a double head part which was causing problems, which is also why I don't do certain scars that have double parts. I didn't remove his blind eye I have something against blind people. You can always go to XEdit and remove him from the mod if you want.

Yes, I have five pages of NPCs and I will be adding more. Yes, I have the FOMOD listed on everyone so people have easy access to it. It also has the choice of the individual mod should those just want that. I'm not going to combine them until I am done. So, they stay for now.

I'm getting messages and comments about it, which is why I'm posting this here. I don't want to be ungrateful to those who download my mods, but it is impossible to please everyone (among other things). It's clear by now since I've started doing this. There is no point in making one big mod and page until I am done. Please stop asking me. I also have a life besides modding despite my jokes to the contrary.

It would have been nice to move assets from other mods into a specific directory to reference instead of overwriting other mods files.

    Example:
    /Textures/KS Hairdo's/Zombrex_n.dds
is also supplied by "KS Hairdos SSE**"
Better would be something like: /Textures/PrideMen/Zombrex_n.dds

    Similar with: /Textures/actors/character/hair/apachii/kozaburo/evo_Malegrey_n.dds

So I either overwrite the ones in your mod, or the main hair mod. One of the reasons to include other mods assets is to disconnect from their changes.

There is no guarantee that the KS hairs will not change and then be overwritten by older ones included in your mod.

I am still absolutely using your Pride of Skyrim mods.

    Thank you for making them.
    P.S
LOL I just got done downloading all your "Pride" mods, and now I see they have been updated and you have finished up the AIO (All In One) installer. Thank you for that AIO.

    P.S.S
Are you going to consolidate down to one Nexus page for all or keep them on 5 different pages?

I'm leaving the assets as is because otherwise, I have to rename every single head part. That leads to too many errors with renaming. If they were followers, I would. This saves me an insurmountable time doing it this way and leaves less room for mistakes. Yes, it asks you to overwrite, it does for me as well, and I just deal with it. I have to deal with it a LOT since I'm installing, uninstalling my mods several times for testing.

In regards to my other mods, for now, everything will stay separate. I'm still updating my files as we speak. I am uploading the most current form of each mod so people have the option. When I'm done with all my NPC's I will work on one file for all.

Totally understand not wanting to change things now. I maintain personal patches for many different mods that I use when they don't have "official" ones.

Thank you for all the work you have put into your "pride males"!!!!

I know they don't. I actually did a backward engineered mod using Northbourne NPC's. He did the same as me. With my mentality and little tech skill, the best thing to do is the simplest. I won't redo the mods unless something drastic happens and there's a major bug.

Not to be unappreciative of those who download my mod, but I did this for myself first. I learned through blood, sweat, and tears...seriously, it was brutal for someone who isn't tech-savvy. Unless someone's computer is about to implode, there won't be changes. I'm not keen on doing entire mods over again.

I would like to add that CK is HIGHLY TWITCHY on me. I have to be very careful with everything I create in there.

I have tried multiple time to get CK doing what I expect, most of the time I give up (and I am a software developer). It just does not make sense in some of the ways it does things. I almost exclusively use TSEdit, which does limit my capability. I have broken many mods in an attempt at updating file locations. I either try again and again and maybe again or give up :)

Reverse engineering is an excellent way to learn how mods work. That is also how I learned.

I have some personal mods that I would not share, so you are doing better than me ;)

I would never expect you to change the way you are working on your mods, I can see you have lots of time and effort put into these. Maintaining mods can be a pain.

So thank you again, I really appreciate the work you have put into these!

FYI I found your mods in my news feed from Google!

Exactly! CK is a never-ending source of pain for me LOL, even with all the patches! One of the reasons I also do my files the way I do is I can pretty much copy and paste the mod from SSEEdit, which I'm growing to love.

I can't believe you found me on Google. I feel so famous now
